I didn't have an opportunity to use Jason's services, as the situation was resolved. However, we communicated on several occasions. He was attentive, responsive and more than fair with his pricing. I have included him in my arsenal of contractors and whenever the need arises, I plan to call Berry's Home Improvement.
These guys were amazing! Setting up the appointment was easy, the technician was extremely punctual and very knowledgable. I live in a 50 year old building so who knows what's behind the wall (I have the holes to prove it) - but he knew immediately and was able to get everything mounted exactly how I had pictured it. Will definitely be relying on these guys in the future!
Greivin is a very reliable, honest and responsive contractor who did a great job at repainting our house. I offered him the job after he submitted the best bid among 4 contractors to paint my 1340 sq feet house in Hoboken. My walls were painted in dark colors with different rooms having different colors and we were shifting to all white - he did a great job that needed four coats and also agreed to repair our wooden floor in a small corner for no extra cost. He has done a great and timely job - in a condo building, he did the job with no disturbance to neighbors. Highly recommended.
My heat was not working properly. I had called 5 contractors before contacting Matt and all said my job was not important enough to squeeze me in anytime soon. Matt drove over an hour and a half getting to my house at 9:30PM to complete this job. I will certainly be hiring him again. Very professional and very knowledgeable! Thank you!
PROJECT: Remove and install an exterior door. Darin came to my home a few months ago to evaluate a project I listed on Thumbtack. He provided a quote in writing within hours of meeting us. He was one of a few contractors that presented a written contract that detailed the work he proposed. He arrived at each of our three meetings on time. He completed the job tasked efficiently and left the work space clean and clear. His work was excellent!!! My husband and I would hire HBR again...in a heartbeat!
After enduring several months of frustration, inconveniences, and outright deceptions, it was a welcomed relief to find a thorough, professional and very helpful team of contractors who did everything asked with the attitude that gave my family the restored confidence in home improvement service. I would highly recommend Smart Improvement for any home renovation/repair or restorations needed.
Rich was very prompt in his job and he was very responsive to my phone calls and text messages. we ask him quote for some job on our backyard , he even went to our building department (spent his time and his money ) to research for what kind of permit that we ll need. I highly recommend him!
Nicholas was on time, and very knowledgeable he made some great recommendations as to what we needed at our house. I have several other projects I plan to work with him on. Top notch contractor!
Jaime hung very large pictures of ours on brick. Not an easy job but it looks fantastic. Super easy to work with and high quality of work. We will be working him again on other projects!
My experience with contractors, including this company, is that you have to have patience. When a job has multiple areas of concentration (electrical, plumbing, carpentry, etc.), there may be different people doing each service; which means that everything is dependent upon each person doing their service in a timely manner, otherwise possible delays. Also, most contractors have multiple job sites where their people are rotated where needed. Since no one can predict a problem will occur, this also causes delays in getting a project completed. All of this is the nature of the job. As I mentioned before, try to have patience. Renovation projects can be frustrating and sometimes upsetting; but if everything is done correctly with minimal errors, the most important thing is that you are happy with the skills provided and the quality of the work completed.
The job involved staining the deck, screwing in loose boards, and fixing two hand rails of a stairway of a deck that is roughly 980 square feet. I had also asked for the replacement of a crumbling sidewalk- roughly 175 square feet. Thomas Fredrick was fantastic. He was prompt in arriving to give the quote and pitching the price- which was very reasonable given the size of the job. He and his crew were prompt in arriving and quickly finished the deck in two days. The concrete work also took about two days- between the removal of all of the old concrete and pouring in the new foundation. All of my expectations were exceeded (which is rare for me), given the size of the job. Tom also took on the repair of one fence panel piece & replacement of a mailbox that had a broken cover. Any questions/requests that I had were quickly addressed (which rarely happens with some contractors). I am extremely satisfied and would consider TNS for future jobs and would highly recommend them to others in the area.
I hired Gama for a few small projects in my house. He really can do it all. From painting to flooring, and everything in between. He is always very responsive when I call and reasonably priced as well. I would definitely recommend him as a General Contractor for any home improvements.
Office kitchen renovation completed 3 weeks. Everything was well coordinated and organized with contractors from start to finish.
Very professional, he showed up when he said he would, he didn't promise to come out and take a look at the project and NOT show up like another contractor did! He completed the project in a timely manner and I will hire him for future projects. My next door neighbor already want to hire him. The before and after pictures show his workmanship. Great Job!
Ndue from Kolecki Construction met me at an apartment that I wanted to buy to look at the electric, which needed to be upgraded. I didn’t end up buying the apartment or hire Ndue, but I was impressed by his responsiveness and knowledge. He met me at the building and was right on time. Buying real estate in New York is an imposing process, especially when you need to hire a contractor and don’t know where to begin. Ndue invited me to buildings where his team was working and where walls were open so that I see what they do. I still don’t have an apartment, but I’ll call him if that day comes.
The job could not have gone more perfect. My contractor cancelled last minute for a job that needed to be done before Christmas as it was a gift. I hired Al over the phone as I was desperate and he came over right away. I was extremely nervous and worried he may try and over charge due to the circumstances and my need for immediate assistance. He had no reviews for me to read and I have had a few bad experiences with contractors in the past. Al was polite, clean, neat and treated my home as if it was his own sweeping and vacuuming as he went along. I was only planning on having him do the hard labor and I was going to finish the rest on my own. Al was a very pleasant find and I will be referring him to anyone I know who needs a contractor. He did not over charge and went above and beyond to help finish the entire job for me.
Rick and his guys did a total gut kitchen reno for me. Kitchen came out amazing and exactly for the price we agreed to in the beginning (which was much cheaper than a lot of the other Montclair contractors). His guys were always on time, curteous and very hard working. Rick was also very easy to work with and I highly recommend!! I’ll definitely use him on other projects in the future.
Passos building provided quick response time to my project; they were competitively priced and I general the work was good. They were timely, friendly and responsive to queries during the job. They drop clothed all floors and cleaned up at days end. I would give a five star except I felt that attention to detail at the end was missing. We noted several areas to address; our points were obvious touch ups that shouldn't have been missed; plus, we don't need a reason for why it shouldn't be remedied since these would have been not missed. Overall, a good job and would recommend. Quality of patchwork and painting, for the price, is worth considering Passos
Will recommend him to everyone. Finally I have good experience with contractor
The best contractor ever work with.
Eric remodeled two bathrooms for me over ten years ago, and did an excellent job...dealt with permits, co-op building inspections as well as town inspections, left each day making sure that the place was cleaned up, and made sure through the entire renovation that there was always a bathroom for me to use. He finished on time, and on budget, and had a crew working with him that was both professional and courteous. After bad experiences with other contractors, it was great to work with someone like Eric...I'm only sorry that I have since moved down south and can't hire him anymore. I would highly recommend him. I've seen other jobs he has done in NJ, and he's only gotten even better since I last used his services.
