I'm a skilled handyman and remodeling contractor with 17 years of experience. '88-'93 then 2014-present. I've helped clients with a wide range of repair and remodeling needs, including decking, bathrooms, basements, kitchens, tiling, flooring, drop ceilings, organizational spaces, and all types of carpentry. Operating in Northern New Jersey, I can handle any job, big or small, with the support of a reliable team when needed. I'm dependable, offer reasonable prices, and consistently deliver high-quality results. Throughout the project, I communicate clearly to ensure my clients are satisfied from start to finish. I charge $65 per hour with a 2 hour minimum, so $130 minimum service charge per visit. I prefer to be paid in cash if possible. I will discuss and give estimates over the phone and via pictures for free. If you require an in person estimate I charge 65 which goes towards the labor cost if you choose to have me do the work. I am flexible with scheduling and hours so that I am as helpful as possible to my clients.

Laird did a great job on my repair. He fixed the brackets that held my dishwasher to the cabinets. He replaced both screws with better quality ones and repaired a crack. The work took less time than expected and he honored that by charging me a very fair price. I would hire him again!

If you're looking for a handyman, someone to build you a beautiful deck, install doors, or just do small jobs around your house, Laird at Walker Handiworks is the person to call! He installed a glass door that leads to our back porch, a storm door at the front of our house, and built us an awesome deck. He's also done some small projects around our house like patching holes in walls, painting, and hanging pictures. I highly recommend Laird!
