Technology Consulting:

I have fifteen years experience in software support and development, and a couple years experience teaching, in computer software and programming, as well as in ESL and school subjects.
My technology experience includes Java, PHP, Python, JavaScript; MS Excel, VB, Data Analysis; setting up Wiki systems, managing technology for non-profit groups.
Computer Programming and other lessons:
I have taught at a Full-Stack development coding school, as well as in other non-profit computer applications and computer literacy educational projects. I seek to work with my students' learning style and background, in order to provide an effective tutoring experience. I enjoy teaching, and I am glad to help you learn, even if this means fielding calls when you need assistance.

Peter was great. He responded to my request quickly, had a conversation with me by phone to determine my exact needs and then delivered outstanding computer training on Zoom for me. He was thorough, knowledgeable, patient and gave me lots of details on the features I could use. I greatly appreciated his efforts. He is very patient in trying to accommodate people like me, who progress very slowly. He always tries to make sure, that his customer (me) understands and can follow his instructions. He offers an extra benefit by recording the individual lessons , so that the customer can watch it and go offer it again. I highly recommend Peter. I am taking a class in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and PHP and was finding the learning curve to be quite steep. I have been working with Peter for the past two months while taking the class, and he has increased my understanding of the subject matter immensely. Peter can help you think through and solve any programming problem you face, whether design, implementation, or debugging problems. He thinks quickly and logically and is an excellent communicator. His tutoring rates are very reasonable and he has always been flexible and understanding when I have needed to make adjustments to our appointments due to work. Two more important qualities that Peter possesses are his kindness and his sense of humor. Having a tutor who is empathetic to a struggling student's insecurities and frustrations, and sensitive enough to coach you through it, really helps keep you motivated when the coding and programming road has felt long, dark, and rocky. What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I offer a FREE first short lesson for any individual who needs long-term tutoring or training.
Additionally, often, services are provided in addition to any lessons or in-person consulting, at no charge. We provide homework or materials when feasible, as well as scheduling flexibility even at standard rates, though we commit to these services at the "premier" rate.
Basic rates for groups:
-- For 9 or more hours (more than four weeks at 2hrs/week):
$140 per 1-hour lesson for two students + $15-$20/hr for each additional student
-- For 5 to 8 hours (up to four weeks at 2hrs/week):
$150 per 1-hour lesson for two students + $15-$20/hr for each additional student
Per session:
-- $150 per 1-hour lesson for two students + $25-$30/hr for each additional student
Basic rates for individuals:
I charge between $110/hour and $150/hour for individuals, depending on the type of lesson offered, or the kind of consulting provided.
Discounts offered for college/university STUDENTS
Standard service

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We start with a 20 minute phone conversation, for an initial discussion of your needs. Following this conversation, we meet for a consultation to discuss your needs further and to develop a plan.
