For me cooking is in the blood. My family is Costa Rican and Portuguese. When my family came to the U.S they moved to New Jersey and quickly took on the family traditions of cooking. I started helping my family in the kitchen and eventually grew to love the art of cooking, which led to a passion. After trying to do several other businesses, something always led me back to cooking (I just couldn't stay out of the kitchen). As far as what I enjoy about the work I do? Well, being in the kitchen is one place that everything feels right. I can let my creativity flow through my hands in the same way an artist does when creating a sculpture. I love using my talents to make others happy and it brings me great joy hearing customers talk about my cuisine.
