- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I enjoy this line of work as much as I love helping people, however, the nature of the business makes it hard to put a standard price on services simply due to the wide scope of services provided. Some, such as Virus Removal, are easier to price, usually between $50-$100. Others, like Data Recovery, are impossible to price out before we are able to do an initial diagnostic. The Diagnostic fee for Data Recovery is $50 (non-refundable), which is deducted from the total repair costs if you decide to go through with the recovery. Once we have more information on what, if anything, is recoverable, you will recivie a quote on the total cost, along with a a list of recoverable files and folders, minus the $50 diag. fee, if you decide to go through with the recovery process. - What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Most work relating to hardware repairs or virus removal are completed in 2-4 business days. Data Recovery may sometimes take up to a week depending on the amount of data to be recovered as well as the condition of the hardware being worked on. In some cases upwards of 90% of information can be recovered successfully, though, in some extreme cases any data recovery may be impossible altogether. Generally speaking, if you feel your data is at risk, it is always better to address any issues at the first signs of a problems.

Graduate of PCAge. January of 2010, with Certifications in A+ and Net+ and training in CCNA, MCSA, and more.
