Sean spray lacquered my custom kitchen cabinet doors. Not only did Sean deliver an excellent result, he was also able to turn the job around quickly. When we ran into a minor obstacle prior to installation, Sean was available same day and resolved the issue in a very fast, professional and friendly way. His shop in Orange is conveniently close to my house and I will certainly work with Sean again. I can highly recommend him for refinishing your furniture/cabinets or for custom builds.

This was my first experience with Thumbtack and I was very pleased with Sylvain Marie, who responded very quickly to my request for someone to refinish an antique side table. I e-mailed some pictures of the piece as he requested and he soon responded with an estimate of the time required to repair and refinish a very battered table. He came exactly when he said he would to pick up the piece and returned it a few days earlier than I had told him I needed it. He stuck to his original estimate, but told me that if the job took less time he would charge accordingly. The table is now stunning and I am thrilled with his work and plan to hire him again for other refinishing of my antique furniture. I was especially impressed by his knowledge of wood types and methods of repair and also by the way he handled the old furniture with real gentleness and respect!

Arturo reglued and reupholstered 8 antique chairs, which were very unstable and in a couple cases broken (we had the pieces). He and his crew did a great job on them all, and in a timely way. I highly recommend him.

Brian was professional, responsive, and did a great job refinishing some antique wooden theater chairs for us. He took pictures at every stage of the process and we're very excited for them to sit in our newly-renovated space.

Ely Lira reupholstered an antique (approximately 80-90 years old) recliner/glider chair for us. the antique piece belonged to my husband's grandfather and was in such poor condition we were considering throwing it out. The cushions were completely torn, the wood was scratched, and the springs were broken to the point where when you sat on the chair, you practically sat all the way down to the floor! That's where Ely came in! Ely came to our apartment to give us a free estimate. He provided us with a selection of fabrics and also a recommendation of a fabric store in our location. He came back to pick up the chair as well as the fabric (3 trips to our apartment by this point). He completed the work in about 2 weeks and the personally delivered the chair back to us. WOW, what can I say but the chair looks OUTSTANDING! I could never imagine that it would look as good as it does. The fabric looks perfect, the springs are springy, and even the wood has been de-scuffed. We are SO happy with the work. I would definitely recommend Ely's work to anybody looking to get an antique piece of furniture reupholstered.

Glen did an AMAZING job restoring an antique table that has been in my family for 4 generations. I was very nervous to have anyone refinish the top or repair the leg, but I am glad I trusted Glen to do so. He was super responsive, friendly, professional and takes pride in his work. The table now looks the perfect balance of polished and distressed. Thank you Glen!!! (3 before photos and 1 after photo attached)

Simon is an artist! I'm renovating my apartment and I had five pine antique pieces that were in terrible shape. What I got back from Simon was absolutely beautiful work done on my furniture. Impeccable work! The pieces look like they just came from a store. I'm thrilled with the results! Simon is worth every penny! As soon as I move back, I will publish before and after pictures.

Dave has completed several projects for me in the last couple of years. First time was a panic call when Hurricane Irene was scheduled to hit, and he responded immediately to clear out my gutters and caulk my windows. He has replaced drywall, and recently re-did my living room, ripping up the carpet, installing new drywall and painting, and completed the job by picking up my new furniture and delivering it! Dave's a dependable man, reasonable pricing, and a good guy who does nice work!
