Zachary qualifies for 6 stars! Quite possibly the best attorney I've had the pleasure of working with. Zachary is as aggressive as he is smart. He is a consummate professional and he went beyond the call of duty for his client! I chose to work with Zachary after researching a number of other attorneys who claimed to have much more experience. Sometimes it is not what is said, but the way it is said and the action behind it. Zachary is the best!

Mr. Balmer is representing me in a Family Court matter that is complicated and time consuming. All I can say is that I am impressed with his professionalism. Mr. Balmer has and continues to addressed and resolved issues that are 17 years old. He is most experienced in putting my mind to rest and giving me confidence that each matter is looked at carefully, assessed and ready for a resolution that is favorable to my case. I am very happy working with Mr. Balmer. Significantly, I chose to work with him having researched a number of other attorneys who claim to have much more experience. Sometimes it is not what is said....but the way it is said and the action behind it. Needless to say, I am happy with my choice.

I worked at the Law Offices of Michael Kuldiner for an entire summer as an intern/assistant. During my time there, I witnessed first hand what it is like to work for a stellar law firm. Michael works very hard to give his clients the best legal representation possible. He always replies to emails and phone calls within a timely manner. His skills and experience in family law and real estate law matters makes him a very knowledgeable attorney. The law firm of Michael Kuldiner, P.C is highly recommended for those clients who can use their services.

Great Attorney I had him handle a DUI charge in Newark and Mr.Doyle had the charges dismissed. We had to go to court three times but it was well worth the wait. Definitely will recommend.

Mr. Schutz. Is my Attorney for two very disagreeable Tenants-Landlord Cases. I was a total wreck. He came in calm, efficient, extremely knowledgeable and handled.everything. He kept me informed as needed, I asked to be removed from the dealings. He told me what would be done and did it. He DID NOT misinform me about anything. He was totally my Attorney, understanding, reasonable. knowledgeable . I was dealing with a sick parent with no time or patience to deal with an unreasonable situation, Mr. Schutz took it all in stride and handled everything accordingly. I can't begin to tell you how much I respect his professionalism, and client respect. He might refer me on but any legal problems that might come my way I will always call him first. I will always have his card, and he will always be recommended by me as the best Attorney around.

Completely Amazing ! He's one of the best/ smartest professionals Ive ever met and has helped me with so many different legal aspects from Child Custody to Incorporating my Business! Not only is he an amazing attorney but he also cares about his clients. A year after the first time I hired him ( relating to severe accident) he still texted/ called/ emailed me a regular basis to make sure I was doing well and made sure I had people helping take care of me. Cant say enough!

Thanks to Mr. Morgan and his company, my problem with estate planning was solved. I was struggling to find a honest and reliable, real estate and estate planning lawyer, and, therefore, I was very thankful when I got a detailed plan from Russel which was super easy to understand and to make things even better they helped me get my house got sold 2 weeks later! They also helped me with all the documentation, deed transfer and other paperwork. I highly recommend their firm to everyone who wants to receive a honest service and solve problems with estate issues!

A little while back, I wanted to buy a car from a friend of mine. We both agreed that it would behoove both of us to draft up a contract. Neither of us are lawyers, so Kimberly was recommended to me by a friend. She drafted the installment sale agreement for the car and it was exactly what we needed. Though the transaction was between me and a good friend, it was so helpful to have all the terms put in writing by a professional who actually knew what she was doing! She even created a detailed payment schedule that left no room for confusion. She's a great attorney and very easy to work with. I highly recommend her.

They handled two separate cases for me. One involving a Superior court matter and another was a local municipal matter. Their attorneys and staff were very knowledgeable and helpful, and they were always quick to respond. They were also helping in explaining every step of the process. I've used them for multiple cases and I would absolutely use them again.

      Q & A

Answers to commonly asked questions from the experts on Thumbtack.

What kind of lawyer does wills?

No one likes talking about death, but it’s better than leaving your children or siblings to sort out your estate. A clearly planned will can make the time of mourning easier for everyone. An estate attorney will develop a legal will, create trusts on your behalf, and ensure the proper execution of your estate after you pass away.

Family attorneys and estate attorneys, also called probate and wills attorneys, can each prepare wills. The type of lawyer best suited to prepare your will depends on your situation. Most family attorneys provide services to prepare basic wills, including bequeathing property and personal items to family or naming a guardian for minor children. However, estate attorneys specialize in preparing wills in more complex situations. Consider hiring an estate attorney if you:

      • Have a large number of assets, especially those subject to estate taxes
      • Want to create a trust, such as allowing a spouse to live in your home until he or she dies and then leaving it to your children, or set up long-term care for a beneficiary
      • Have an ownership stake in a business
      • Expect someone to contest your will
      • Want to disinherit your spouse

How much does it cost to have a living will?

Either a family attorney or an estate, or wills, attorney can help you prepare a living will, either as part of your general estate planning or as an individual document. The cost typically ranges from $250 to $500, depending on your attorney’s fees; some charge by the hour, while others have a flat rate for writing a living will. Some states require living wills to be notarized, which adds an average of $5 to $15. In a living will — also called an advanced healthcare directive — you specify whether you want to be kept on life support if you become terminally ill or lapse into a persistent vegetative state. You can also answer other important questions in a living will like your preferences for tube feeding, artificial hydration and pain medication in situations when you cannot communicate your wishes on your own.

How do you find a good lawyer for wills?

Estate planning is an important part of financial planning, so it’s important to find the right attorney to prepare your will. Although most family attorneys can put together a basic will, you may want one who specializes in wills and estate planning, especially if you have a lot of assets or a dependent to take care of. You may need an attorney who has expertise in planning and executing trusts and a background in taxes. Ask how the attorney charges; some charge by the hour, others have a set fee for writing wills, and some charge a percentage of the total value of the estate. Make a list of several potential wills attorneys to interview. Make sure you make a strong personal connection with your attorney — you need to be comfortable telling him or her personal, confidential information about your life, and you need to feel that the attorney is committed to solving any problems that may arise while writing your will. Also find out how long the attorney has practiced estate law and whether he or she has handled wills similar to yours.

How much should an estate plan cost?

The cost of an estate plan depends largely on the number of parts it includes and the complexity of the documents. The most basic estate plan is simply a will, but it may also include designating power of attorney or a health care proxy to another person, writing a living will, or making a HIPAA authorization. The average national cost to make an estate plan ranges from $350 to $900, but can cost much more in complicated situations. For example, an estate attorney may charge only $900 to prepare a basic will providing outright distribution — meaning that property and assets are distributed upon death. Writing a more complicated will and holding assets in trusts can cost $3,000, or more. The process of creating an estate plan generally takes two to four weeks, starting with the initial consultation with the wills attorney to identify areas of concern in order to design an estate plan that fits your goals and budget. Once an estate plan is written, the attorney meets with the clients, a notary, and two neutral witnesses to review and sign the plan and associated documents.
