I connected with Robert upon searching for a Tennis Instructor, he has been wonderful to learn from thus far. He is extremely knowledgeable, professional, and generally pleasant to work with during our lessons. I have seen fast improvements in my skill set and would absolutely recommend Robert to someone seeking tennis lessons in the NYC area.

Russ is a phenomenal instructor providing exceptional value in a city where affordable tennis instruction is unheard of! I've been taking private and semi-private lessons with Russ for years and what amazes me the most is that he can always spot precisely what in your body movement is creating an undesirable outcome. He's also very informed about specific techniques used by all the superstar tennis pros from the last 30 + years and he'll help you incorporate techniques most suitable to your style of playing. Russ can teach anyone from a complete beginner to a seasoned pro and the process never feels intimidating. On a side note, the court where Russ teaches is located a 3 minute walk from the subway in a beautiful park, making it not only convenient to get to but also a pleasure to spend time on.

I am an athletic adult who had never played tennis. Arnim set reasonable goals and had me rallying consistently within 4-5 lessons. I was surprised to be ready to play mixed doubles within 2 months. While Arnim is friendly, he was able to firmly challenge me to reach goals. Unlike other instructors who focus solely on strokes, Arnim's approach is comprehensive - including athleticism, bio mechanical, and learning styles. I highly recommend him!

I have over 6 years of professional instructional experience, particularly in junior development and tournament training. In addition to this I have over 14 years of successful playing experience at various levels and in many competitions and tournaments. My coaching style places and emphasis on the athlete and creating a program specific for that person. The combination of these aspects makes one a successful and confident tennis player. I look forward to working with you.

      About

"Own the Mound" was started in 2011 by Tom Mahony, a former professional pitching prospect and New York-state "pitcher of the year". Over the last three years, Tom has trained over 100 young pitchers in the tri-state area privately, professionally and successfully. It is Tom's proven ability to simplify and teach the proper and effective fundamentals of pitchers deliveries that has become a valuable "difference" when comparing his lessons to those standard, more common lessons we're all accustomed to. Countless references are available upon request at any time.

      About

I am a collegiate tennis player/instructor. Private and/or group lessons are available for ages five to18. Private lessons consist of focusing more on formation and their ability to become a stronger player. Various techniques are shown to the player, as well as involving the player in instructional drills to aid in their performance. Group lessons have the same focus point. However, more games are played and the focus on solely one player does exist, but isn't as frequent. It is more of group drills and learning. By both, your child will improve without a doubt.
