Darlene Tejeiro studied at City University of New York and The Lee Strasberg Theatre Institute, and is a lifetime member of The Actors Studio. She originated the contract role of Anita Santos on the ABC daytime drama All My Children and has appeared in hit television series including Power, Criminal Minds, Bones, and How I Met Your Mother. Her film credits include Starsky & Hutch, I Now Pronounce You Chuck & Larry with Adam Sandler and Kevin James, Star Trek (directed by J.J. Abrams), and the international biopic Girl You Know It’s True about Milli Vanilli, filmed in Germany and South Africa with director Simon Verhoeven. On stage, she recently originated the role of “Collette” in John Patrick Shanley’s world premiere play Candlelight, delivering a raw and haunting performance. She is also currently working on a Hallmark made-for-television movie.
With over 20 years of experience as both an actor and a coach, I guide students through every aspect of the craft. I teach script analysis, character development, and the vital skill of memorization—essential in television where auditions often arrive the night before. My goal is to help students create truth under imaginary circumstances, even with limited preparation time.
I also specialize in on-camera technique. From lighting, framing, and eyelines to wardrobe, hair, and relaxation, I train students to feel confident and authentic in front of the camera. In my fully equipped home studio, I provide audition taping services: rehearsing, coaching, shooting multiple takes until we capture the best performance, then editing and delivering a polished scene.
If your passion is acting for film or television, it’s crucial to learn how to work freely, truthfully, and effectively on camera. I look forward to helping you bring your best performances to life.
