I'm Karin, a Certified Professional Dog Trainer (CPDT-KA) and Certified Behavior Consultant (CDBC), a Mentor Trainer for Animal Behavior College, and a volunteer Dog Trainer for the Animal Care Centers of New York.
I offer customized dog training and behavior management primarily using reward-based, force-free methods in the comfort of your own home or through remote learning (video calls).
I'm very passionate about Early Puppy Socialization, and take pride in teaching Potty Training and Crate Training, Recall (reliable come-when-called), and alternative behaviors (e.g. dog rushing to a dog bed when the doorbell rings instead of charging at the door and barking incessantly).
The goal is for YOU to learn what training is all about so that (after you work with me) you would be able to train other dogs you may have in the future without necessarily having to hire another dog trainer.
Although training sessions are usually held about a week apart, once you sign up, you may contact me 24/7 for questions or concerns that simply cannot wait till our next session. That's certainly one thing that sets me apart from other trainers.

Karina has been amazing to work with. We've had no issues scheduling our training with her around our ridiculous schedules. We're unlearning all the bad training we learned in the past and she's been great at explaining why different methods are better than others, and how we can keep improving and retraining our older dog, while working with our newer puppy. One of the things we love is she doesn't time her classes, so it's as long as needed for us/the dogs to get it. We couldn't have been happier with our choice of working with her and highly recommend her to anyone else seeking training help!

Karin is an excellent, knowledgeable, empathetic, and entertaining trainer who has made me excited about investing time and resources into working with my dog. we recently got a new 3.5 month old frenchie who is just so adorable but had some habits set in, from her litter buddies. we contacted karin for help on where to begin and how to train our frenchie into the city lifestyle. our first meeting with karin, opened up our eyes on some bad habits that we didn’t know we were promoting with our puppy. karin was thorough in explaining puppy behavior and how our frenchie understands our body language. yesterday was our third meeting with karin and beau (our frenchie) is very much familiar with the emergency recall, sit, sit with stay, come, down, crate, walking on a loose leash, behaving appropriately with other dogs (our older frenchie) and potty training. also, karin has been available through text at all times during the day and night. she likes to know when beau has done something good or bad at the time it happens, so that any bad learning can be addressed immediately. we are so thankful for meeting karin and can’t wait for our next sessions.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
1. Book a free 30-minute phone consultation or provide an email address so I can send a proposal. It will have links to book classes (each class has a unique link leading to availability for that class specifically), breakdown of fees and/or discounts, and terms and conditions.
2. As soon as your reservations appears on my calendar, I will either call you (if you booked a phone consultation) or send a payment request on Venmo (if you booked classes). If everything on the proposal looks good, simply pay the Venmo request. If a revision needs to be made to the proposal, please reach out.
3. When payment is received, I will send an invoice to acknowledge receipt of your payment and your booked slot is confirmed!
