Dealing with many vendors while planning a wedding can be quite overwhelming but working with Sweet Harmony was a wonderful experience. I love being on top of everything, I am organized and very particular. However, I found Tara the owner amazing to work with throughout the whole process. She is professional reliable, accommodating and lovely. We hired a String Quartet to play at our wedding ceremony and cocktail hour. Then, just a month prior to the big day we decided to have a Jazz trio (Piano, Saxophone, vocal) playing while having dinner during the reception because we love live music. Tara made it happen! The day of the wedding all the musicians arrived early and played beautifully. While on our honeymoon my husband forgot to make the payment for the overtime dinner music. Tara was so patient she waited a few weeks before sending me a reminder. When I called to apologize she was very understanding and nice as always. We will definitely recommend company to our family and friends and we are looking forward to do business with them in the future. Thanks you Sweet Harmony! Carolane & David
Ivan played cocktail hour at my wedding - not only was his music great, but I really appreciated his responsiveness and professionalism. He made the whole process a breeze!
Thanks Alan! Everyone had fun with the music at the wedding!
I've played with Jimi since the first time I picked up the instrument (bass for 11 years). Lessons with him enabled me to play in big bands and small ensembles at the college level, as well as have a steady stream of gigs when I was in school. His method of teaching is sadly growing rarer and rarer in private lesson study. Rather than mandate to the student rote musical examples which are a.) boring and b.) relate nothing about learning actual music, Jimi's approach is a holistic one that has faith in pupil's drive and intelligence. He demonstrates aspects of music theory fundamentals, and then has the student utilize the formulas he has imparted to extrapolate the rest, with his guidance of course. If the student has trouble, Jimi instructs to fill in the gaps but never spoon feeds. This method insures the student actually learns and internalizes the information, rather than becomes an automaton. Moreover, Jimi encourages the students to bring in pieces that they actually like to play! So instead of spending months hammering out a highly diluted version of a Bach morning song, the student can bring in pieces by Zep, the Strokes, the Black Keys, Rihanna, whatever! Jimi then instructs through elucidating the music theory fundamentals within the songs that drew the student to the instrument in the first place! Jimi is professional, yet laid back. I have continued my friendship with him after studying and going on to professional life. He's just a good dude to know. Lastly, and this should be the last thing you consider. Jimi's rates are always reasonable. For private study in college, I paid 3-4 times as much for a lesson as what I paid when taking a lesson with Jimi. I hope you Long Islander aspiring musicians realize what a gem you have there.
Sean and his band provided ideal lively jazz music at a local event. They were super easy to communicate with beforehand, and they played beautifully to a large very appreciative crowd. I strongly recommend them.
Patrick was professional, friendly and accommodating. He was easy to contact and always returned calls promptly. Two years later my guests are still raving over the food how wonderful the staff was. I highly recommend them! My wedding would not have been such a success without them. Everything was perfect!
I looooove Soulful Sounds! They are my favorite band. They played at my wedding in August 2015. I'm so glad I gave them a chance. Besides picking my dress they were the best decision for my wedding. People still talk about how great the band was. My only regret was that I didn't have them play the whole night. The guys are so prefessional and they dress for the job. I highly recommend them to everyone I know. I can't wait for my next event to have Soulful Sounds play. Keep up the good work guys. I feel like they get better every time I hear them. Love Vicky
Kazuko and her friend who played the violin in my wife and I ceremony was amazing. They really did our wedding a lot more special in every aspect. They were able to play songs that we wanted and everything sounded so beautiful. i recommend Kazuko for any occasion. Thanks for everything!
I don't hire bands that often but Joe made me feel that he had everything under control. He showed up earlier than we had arranged and had a big smile on his face. His music was fabulous and he brought his dad who plays the accordion for that extra special touch. The range of music was fabulous. He knew when to play what for the mood of the party. He and his partner were outstanding. I highly recommend them.
Absolutely incredible. We invited Dina to play at our wedding ceremony in Central Park. We got in touch before the ceremony and Diana gave us several invaluable recommendations on the music selection. The ceremony itself was magical - thanks to her music! Dina is incredibly talented and we were lucky to have her there with us. Dina, thank you so much for sharing your talent with us, for making our wedding day so special, and for bringing beauty into this world!
Wayne Batchelor is a top notch musician, and his trio is nothing short of remarkable. They are prompt, professional, and with their music are able to make any event extra special. Personally Wayne is a true gentleman and very easy to speak and have a rapport with, and working with him is not only extremely easy, but is also a joy as well. Hire this group TODAY for your event, party, wedding reception, etc.
Terrence is a great professional and music teacher. He gave instruction to one of my children on the piano. He even played the wedding march on the organ at my wedding and it was truly an outstanding performance.
The Jersey Sure Cats performed at our wedding on April 7th in Allentown, NJ and were absolutely awesome. The songs they performed were varied and their voices harmonize beautiful. Sam, the lead singer, has a fantastic voice and really made our wedding song, All of Me by John Legend, her own. I have received tons of compliments from my wedding guests on how great the band played and how they enjoyed the variety and tone of their music. The wedding reception was held in a small banquet hall and they played quietly enough that you could enjoy both their music and be able to talk to and hear others at your table. I highly recommend the Jersey Sure Cats for any type of gala. They are very reasonably priced, easy to work worth and best of all, an excellent band. Please don't hesitate to consider them as they are truly the BEST!
Chanan was a joy to work with! Knowledgeable and skilled and very creative. He helped produce a record of sacred music for me and also provided back up guitar for my band when needed a few times in Dallas. He is an exceptional engineer and guitar player with a fine ear for detail.
Nick West is THE best. He’s the creme de la creme...the cats pajamas, the bees knees and the real McCoy. For recording studio sessions he’s a One-Take-Jake with any style of music and he has a bottomless reserve of creative ideas. Onstage, in concert, he’s not only rock steady musically but his love for the music always shines through. Our fans always tell me what a great time it looks like he’s having while he’s playing. Plus he’s the consummate professional: easy going, great sense of humor, always shows up early for rehearsals and shows and is the kind of guy you would hang out with more if he wasn’t so dang busy! West is the best. Get him while you still can.
Having Sabina play at our wedding was an absolute delight. I wasn’t totally sure of the music that I wanted for my wedding so going into the first meeting I was totally lost. Sabina made me feel so comfortable and normal and ensured me that this happens often and not to worry. With a few suggestions we settled on the songs and heard them played (and obviously loved them!). Her professionalism was impeccable, from beginning to the very end. Guests are still remembering the great music for our reception! Would highly recommend :)
I came to Sarah with a goal of wanting to accompany myself as a singer, instead of having to rely on a guitarist or a band. In less than a year I played my first solo show. Sarah has prepared me to play solo, with a band, how to rearrange songs, how to read sheet music and so much more. Every lesson I learn something different. She’s made learning piano fun and interesting. Sarah is very patient, kind and extremely talented. I’d never go anywhere else!
We hired Sho in early May to perform as a string quartet at the cocktail hour for our wedding, and we could not be happier with his performance! I love classical music but do not know string quartets as well, so Sho helped recommend some songs that would fit well. He was always very responsive and professional in communicating while planning the event. And best of all was the performance, as the quartet looked and sounded superb! It is clear that they all love music and are very talented and professional. I will highly recommend Sho to anyone in the future!
Dan's Band made our fundraiser event extra special. Excellent communication and promptness - they are super professional and arrived, set up, got to performing right away...and took very little break time. You can tell these guys really enjoy what they do. When the time came to finish, they asked if I wanted them to keep going for a bit - totally appreciated that. Oh and they sounded great! Real talent and the price was right. I am literally looking for additional events to use them again.
The band was fabulous!! We danced and sang and had an all around great time! Very professional.
There are not enough words to describe our experience with Adam Saber! From the very first meeting, my husband and I knew we had to work with him on our big day. He made the entire planning process a breeze. Not only did he do the music for our reception, but for our ceremony and cocktail hour as well. We put complete trust in Adam and allowed him to get creative with the music selection. He did not disappoint! The music was amazing from start to finish and I don't think we stopped dancing the entire time. His music choices attracted all of our guests. Not to mention the lighting he provided for the reception really captured the mood and feel of our wedding. Adam completed our wedding by gifting us with a surprise video from our special day. We will forever cherish our experience with Adam Saber Entertainment!
