Adam, the handyman, was terrific and did a good job. He had a much cheaper way to get the shelves done. However, I will not use this service again and I will not refer them to anyone. Their hourly rate is much too high. Plus they charge a $75 trip fee which I feel is unconscionable, simply outrageous. I asked if they would take into consideration that I am 78, live in low income housing and use food stamps. Plus the handyman traveled only a few miles. The owner's response came back as a definite NO. No empathy and no concern for getting a bad review and no referrals from me. Here is an owner who simply does not care. And caring is the only thing that counts to me, not the work.

The person who showed up was on time, and he did an excellent job. He was able to do the job in 1/2 the estimated time, which meant the actual cost was 1/2 the estimated amount.

I didn't think it was clear to me that the estimate
included travel time. I do realize the business had an
ABQ address but other businesses I use also have that but they usually have a representative in Santa Fe.
Details: 2 items • Chair • Yes, I have assembly instructions or make and model information
Ace Handyman Services's reply
Thanks for the feedback, Steve. We are in Albuquerque and Santa Fe. There is a trip charge for every job no matter where it is. We will work on being more clear with that.
