It's impossible to overstate the relief that comes with having all the post-move, post renovation junk gone from our house! Midnite Movers was great--responsive, punctual, and very reasonably priced. Would definitely recommend them!Jun 13, 2017Verified
Local Moving (under 50 miles)
The two gentlemen who helped us move worked quickly and efficiently. They got a hide-a-bed couch around a corner where I was unsure if it would be possible by removing and re-attaching the feet. I would use Midnite Movers again if I needed someone and will recommend them to friends.Aug 22, 2017

Furniture Moving and Heavy Lifting
I wish I could say the experience was better. The moving job consisted of moving a refrigerator from my kitchen to the garage. Before the movers came, I asked if I should empty the refrigerator and was told it was not necessary. When the movers arrived they removed a freezer basket laden with food. They moved the refrigerator but did not put the freezer basket back in place. Whey I emptied the freezer basket to replace it I noticed that it had been cracked. I contacted thumbtack and was told a check for the replacement cost of the new basket ($138.49) would be put in the mail the next day. It is now a few weeks later and I have yet to see the check. I was also unimpressed with their business practices. I was quoted $110 for the job and asked to pay that amount upon completion of the job. I asked for an invoice before paying. The movers said they could not write an invoice. When I told them I would not pay without one, I received one, which included an addition for tax. The movers indicated they could take the $110 if the invoice had not been demanded, but would charge tax if one was demanded. The implication was that they would not pay sales tax if I did not demand an invoice. I fully expect to pay sales tax, and I do not like to do business with organizations that do not. I also do not appreciate doing business with organizations that exhibit a total lack of quality control when it comes to my job.Apr 19, 2017VerifiedMidnite Movers ABQ's reply
I apologize for any confusion that there may have been. But we charge tax on all the jobs.It is true the Movers could not write you a receipt due to the fact that all receipts are emailed from the office... You were also issued a refund/reimbursement check for the amount specified so once you have received it please be so kind to update quote stating so.... Thanks again for your business and the review we appreciate them both..
Local Moving (under 50 miles)
I was charged $85/hour. The truck they brought was too small so it took 3 trips for the move. Luckily I was only moving a couple of blocks away but that would have really added up for someone moving further. I assumed they would have people packing the house and the movers would take what they could at the same time. However the packers came first and were alone so I paid $85(2 hours) = $170 to have 2 people work. I wish I made $42 an hour putting stuff in a box! The good news is the packers and the movers did a great job and were friendly. This place is wayyy to expensive for the service provided. I would recommend choosing a different company unless price is no object. (Updated 3/15/2017 @ 9:18am) I updated my review in response to the company's reply. I recently left the military and I am very, very familiar with moving. In fact I have moved every single year for the past 4 years. This company is not competitively priced. This move usually costs me around $500. He indicated in his reply that he charged me $600, that is a lie - I have the check in front of me it was $681.63. See attached for proof. Previously I completed my move with U-haul approved movers, I have removed the company's names but you can find them easily. Below are their prices per hour. $40/h $54.97/h $60/h $45/h $55/h $39/h $40/h $110/h $59.99/h $40/h $60/h For my particular house renting the truck would have been $100 for the day which would include gas, pick up and drop off mileage, and tax. If you took $55/h for 7 hours it would cost $385+$100=$485 and you can just round up to $500 for $71.42/h. That would include 2 people helping you pack and move. They charged me $85/hour to have 2 people pack for 2 hours. I doubt the company is compensating the packers at a $42.50/h rate - haha. They could have easily packed the kitchen and had the movers load the truck with with all the other boxes/furniture that was ready to be moved. If they did that, the move would have taken under 6 hours and their price would have been good. However, the packers were there from 9-11 am and the movers were there from 1-6:30 pm. The move could have been completed even faster but the moving truck they supplied was too small to take all my belongings so they had to take THREE trips. Luckily the new and old house are only about 5 minutes apart but that could really add up so WARNING to anyone who is having them move you a further distance. I would like to reiterate that the packers and the movers did excellent work. The company has a high hourly rate and is less efficient than others. I cannot recommend this company based on the price alone. If price is no object then go ahead. Be careful out there everybody!Mar 15, 2017Verified
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)? That it includes the truck and fuel and in most cases the mileage and besides state taxes there are no hidden fees.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?Moving Masters
- How did you get started doing this type of work?I was always helping friends and family move and wanted to be able to help other people out .
