After age and weather, including roof leaks that began to create significant interior water damage on my first and second floors, it was clear that I would need to completely replace my existing flat roof.
I contacted 7 local roofing companies that advertise heavily on local print and broadcast media hoping for the "quality service" consistently mentioned in their advertisements. Unfortunately I was greatly disappointed. From outrageous pricing to estimates made without inspection, and in several cases not even a return call.
After a great deal of frustration and near desperation, I reached out to The Roofing People. One of the best decisions I have made as a homeowner. Within 8 minutes of completing the contact request, I received a call from Justin K. Justin listened to the issues I was experiencing and arranged to inspect my roof the same day. After a thorough inspection Justin PROFESSIONALLY explained options that were and were not available. I received a very detailed estimate for near identical roof replacement services and the cost difference between other local roofers and The Roofing People was incredible. While the cost difference was extremely significant, the professionalism and workmanship was not. I was in constant contact with Justin and the staff of The Roofing People. My calls and texts were answered almost immediately (even well after office hours). The timeframe from start to finish was identical to the estimated completion projection.
When the actual replacement began, the roofers could not have been more friendly, professional, and took every opportunity to explain the work being done. Once the work was completed a final inspection with Justin was done and my confidence in The Roofing People was validated! I could not be more pleased with my decision to have my roof replacement done with The Roofing People.

Materials were staged ahead of time, work began promptly as promised. The crew was very thorough and responded well to questions and concerns. The work progressed faster than I expected and was completed within a day and a half. Scope of work was removal of 4 layers of torchdown roofing on a flat roof with slight pitch; repair of roof deck; installation of insulation panels; istallation of TPO roofing material with build-up and boots around 3 skylights and various penetrations and roof-top evap cooler. Where the TPO met the pitched metal roof, the metal roof edge was lifted and the TPO was run up under it. These guys really did a good job. They also provided the most reasonable quote out of 6 roofers contacted.

The Roofing People were absolutely fantastic, efficient, and offered superb value for money. We encountered an issue with our TPO roof that wasn’t draining as it should. I reached out to several roofing companies via Thumbtack in hopes of obtaining quotes. The Roofing People responded to my inquiry incredibly promptly and were able to present me with a detailed quote within just 2 days. Notably, their quote was the most competitive, surpassing others by a significant margin. They initially planned to carry out the work a few days later, but due to unexpected rain, we had to reschedule. I was genuinely impressed and thankful for their professionalism and their decision not to risk the job by working on my roof during the rain. When the day arrived for them to address our roofing issue, they executed the job swiftly, all while being mindful of our space and privacy. Since their intervention, I haven’t encountered any problems with the installation. I can confidently say that they will be my first call for any roofing concerns or needs moving forward.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Our quotes are detailed and itemized. We work with several suppliers which creates fair pricing for the customer. We have percentage discount for military, first responders, veterans, and seniors.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Every new customer will be reached out by our project manger, Justin, who will schedule a time to complete a physical roof inspection at the convenience of the customer. At the time of inspection our project manger will inspection the roof or areas of needed repair, collect measurements, and provide a quote to the customer. Part of our roof inspection requires Justin to also notify the customer of wind or hail damages to the roof. If damages from storm related events are found, Justin can provide assistance of working alongside your insurance to cover the cost of repair or replacement to your roof. The inspection, quote, and assistance with weather related claims(if necessary)are free of charge.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
Roofing has been in our family for 3 generations handed down from our grandfather to our father and onto us.
