FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I have just moved from Nevada to California so I am establishing my new customer base. Because of this I am offering my services for only $20 per hour, with me driving to you. That is very low especially when you consider the lesson preparation time that is needed before each lesson. As my schedule fills and students rotate out, my rate will slowly rise, topping off at $50 per hour.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I like to offer a free trial lesson so that both student and teacher have the opportunity to see if the personalities match up. Also, it gives both the student and teacher the opportunity to learn about the teaching and learning style of one another. After the free trial lesson I describe the rough sketch of how I would deliver future lessons to the student in order for them to reach their goals.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a Bachelors Degree in Spanish. A TEFL certificate (Teaching English as a Foreign Language). A CBEST certificate (California Basic Educational Skills Test). I am certified as a substitute and guest teacher in the State of Nevada. I am currently completing a full teacher licensure programs through West Florida University. More importantly, I have five years teaching experience. Normally I teach young learners (Kindergarten is my favorite) and business professionals in the afternoon or night I have taught English to Engineers, Doctors, Pharmacists, Research and Development Staff, Accounting Executives, CEOs and CFOs.
