Introduction: I am a trained reading specialist. I am rather expensive because I am a reading specialist. The children I focus on are slow readers; even though they can read, they have great difficulty sounding out unknown words despite being taught phonics. These children often have problems with high-frequency words (like, because, was, friend, etc). They tend to have difficulty retaining words even when studying for hours for Friday's spelling test. These are the type of children I tutor. They also might have directional confusion or might have dysgraphia.
