FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Pricing is based on the amount of time spent performing the services requested by the client. In regard to this, however, something that clients often overlook is that there may be a big difference between the simple statement, "Please edit this for me" and the actual process of doing the editing, which could take a few minutes or many hours, depending on the content to be edited. Over the years, I have developed a "sixth sense" for how much time a project may take after a relative quick survey of what has to be done, and I base my quotation on that information. If the circumstances change, then my charges also change. Like many employees, I calculate my earnings on an hourly basis, and if the hourly potential falls below a certain point, then a job is not economically feasible.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Writing in academic fields requires staying up-to-date on the required formats (APA, MLA, Chicago-Turabian), and latest developments in the topic of the content.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I have been interested in writing since I was a child in elementary school.
