Introduction: Thanks for stopping by. I'm Charlie and I'd love to help with your repair or project. I'm competent, professional and communicative and I'll show up clean and on-time with a positive attitude. I'm very good at everything I do and pride myself on an exceptional result the first time every time. I've been a tradesman for 35 years and have built houses from the ground up. I'd love to help. I do have a two-hour minimum on work done more than 6 miles from my shop in the 215 and Durango area in the southwest. If you are way out north (Alliante) or down on the east side unfortunately I'm probably not the best choice for small jobs that aren't very technical. (Most HVAC and electrical work is the very definition of technical) Please refer to my project photos. One of them includes a map with an outline of my preferred area. If you're outside this area it simply means each trip may include some travel time. I will always articulate if I don't feel I'm the best choice for a particular project because my goal is that each project I complete is as cost effective as possible. I believe every job needs to be a "win" for both parties and if the sting of my typically higher price isn't going to dissipate very soon after I'm gone because of the fantastic result (the result has to justify the added expense) then it's not a win-win. I believe if I produce a win-win we'll have a long, mutually beneficial relationship so that said if cost is the biggest factor when it comes to choosing a tradesman for your project I'm probably not the best choice. That does not mean I am not conscious of cost and don't understand value. My goal is to be a great value for those who choose quality first and are willing to spend the reasonable difference a high quality result may cost. I am often not more expensive because the right experience, proper tools, a positive attitude and good communication skills very often save a lot of wheel spinning. I occasionally get asked to quote jobs I haven't seen. Doing accurate quotes is a skill unto itself and it is typically a skill that you will find the best contractors become good at. (If not they lose money or price themselves out of the market) Per Nevada law providing fixed prices for a specified amount of work on real estate (Doesn't apply to anything that isn't fixed in the ground such as vehicles, equipment or modular systems for real estate that can be moved around) a person or entity requires a Nevada contractor's license which I do not possess. (I was a licensed mechanical contractor for 15 years here in Las Vegas) Therefore I can do estimates but not fixed quotes. My experience is quite vast though so while I likely have the skills and tools to do just about anything you may need in many instances I may not have done anything similar in a year or two so estimates become a guessing game. I will always tell you whether or not I feel like I can do an accurate estimate. Sometimes I can and sometimes I simply don't have the experience. Experience in many cases is imperative however I have done many jobs for the first time that turn out better than what most professionals produce. I know my skillset and what I can do.
