The electrical outlets in both of our bathrooms suddenly quit working a few days ago for no apparent reason. We tried all the usual things (re-setting the GFI outlet, testing breakers, etc) and finally bought and replaced the one outlet that had a GFI re-set button. That didn't help. We contacted "Thumbtack" yesterday and selected Houston Electric LLC. Terry Houston and another young fellow came today, found out what had caused the problem (an unknown GFI in the garage that had tripped) and had it fixed in under a half hour for only the basic service charge, which was very reasonable. We were very impressed with the guys, as they were professional, polite and competent. We wouldn't hesitate to call them in future for anything electrical. F. Dutton Sun City/Las Vegas, NV

Great job pulling wire for ceiling fans and there installation. I had a situation arise and he was good enough to let me cancel with just a few hours notice and reschedule a couple of days later. Again his work was excellent, cleaned up after finishing his work, in a timely manner also and I will definitely use him in the future.

Moved an outlet in my concrete floor over 3 feet. They had to jackhammer out the concrete, move the wire in conduit. install a floor outlet. They quoted me 300-400. I agreed to this, but when they job was done they increased the cost to $475. Quoting that they needed to user more concrete than they thought. The did good work( 5 star ), but the increasing of the bid after the fact was not cool ( 1 star ). Make sure you get the bid from them in writing from this company. They may have made more money on this job from me by increasing the cost after the job, but they also now have this review that other will see.

Very impressed with Garhett, the owner of Houston Electric. Very knowledgeable, thorough. Tricky trouble shooting of the short circuit in our garage/back bathroom but all came out fine.

We charge $110 hourly for our Service calls. We also have a price list for common materials used that can be provided upon request.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
The customer normally will call our office and ask for either a service call, estimate, or project bid. We discuss their budget and payment options and get to work!
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Our service techs are licensed electricians in Clark county, and have a 4 year apprenticeship and many more years of field experience to bring to any project we take on.
