- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I love to chat with new clients and find out what makes them happiest. Connecting with your photographer on a deeper level helps make the process of having your photos taken so much more fun and comfortable; how hard is it to open up to a complete stranger and then immediately have them pose/direct you?! It also makes my job easier to know what you and I aren’t really strangers anymore!
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I started shooting wedding films with my husband in 2017 and quickly discovered how much I love weddings and capturing memories. I picked up my first camera shortly after and never looked back! No client or wedding is the same, and each shoot is an opportunity to creatively capture that moment in time.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
My advice would be find a photographer you can connect with. Someone whose sense of humor and personality resonates with you. When there’s an overwhelming disconnect of energy between the client and photographer, the session can get uncomfortable fast. First impressions mean so much, but have a honest conversation with your prospective photographer to get an accurate feel of who they are.
