Lawrence is NOT sensitive to criticism. He happily worked with me to get the project right. He’s also not trying to make a quick buck at the expense of the customer. He listened to my suggestions & incorporated them.

Lawrence did a poor job installing peel and stick tile, although he claimed he has done this type of work before. He did not seem to know how to determine an appropriate pattern for the area. Cuts were made poorly and tile did not meet in some areas. Several high visibility areas were unsightly. In addition he added on a $40.00 "service fee" which was not included in his quoted price. Lawrence returned to complete agreed on corrections, such as redoing some areas and he appeared to "work" for several hours. Afterwards, he asked for payment after saying he was done. I stupidly assumed that he had completed the corrections and paid him. It wasn't until he was walking out that he stated he needed to come back for the caulking. (Later, when viewed, this was not all that still needed to be done.) We agreed on the day and time to complete the job, however, he never showed. When contacted, he said he was sorry, but very busy and would put us on his list. I will file a complaint with Thumbtack and never use this young man again.

First and foremost , this client was given an initial estimate by thumbtack as thumbtack assumed she only had one restroom that needed stick and peel tiling, however simple math . Secondly if you look at the profile completely, yes there is a travel charge of $45 in which the client was discounted to $40. She was further discounted as again I repeat she was given an initial estimate not a complete estimate. Her actual total without discounts involved regularly would’ve been about $360, however she was only charged $200 plus $40 which totals $240. Both restrooms are indeed completely tiled and the client wanted to pay nothing and nothing at all which is completely uncivil. Pictures will be installed in my profile and as I’m currently out of town because of a family death, a free caulking from a client as it’s important to me doesn’t prioritize over my families grief, hint to why my professional profile has been paused and not visible at the moment. Nevertheless because of such deformation this matter shall be taken to the appropriate place, Again pictures will be uploaded shortly

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
In order for you to receive top quality work there's absolutely no need to cut corners. We take great pride in our work. Here we believe in professionalism, promptness, and quality. We do offer price matching, however that option is only available to our long term clients, unless notified otherwise. There is also a nonrefundable service fee of $40 which is to be paid upon arrival. Rather you decide to go with us or not. That service fee covers travel and consultation, and may or may not be included in your actual price.
