So far I've had a great experience with Rocky and my lessons. I reached out to him seeking help with piano and music theory to give me extra help with what I'm learning in my online music theory course and so far everything he's been going over has been spot on with my online course. The extra help is definitely useful. Today will be my 5th lesson with rocky and so far we've gone over a brief history of where the piano originated, we've gone over the layout of the piano, white and black keys, sharps and flats, correct posture, we've gotten into intervals, major scale, correct fingering of different major scales, circle of fifths, and have gotten just began getting into the minor scale. He's worked with me playing the piano with both hands and over just a weeks time I've gotten a lot better at it which is awesome. Rocky's prices are competitive and i like how he's doing it to give back to the community which is great! Definitely recommend rocky to anyone seeking lessons in piano or music theory. Thanks Rocky!

I was looking for something very specific in a piano teacher, and Elaine fits the bill PERFECTLY! I'm learning chord structures, inversions, patterns...you name it. We've just barely started working together and I can already see how this is all going to help me become a stronger pianist and composer going forward. Exciting stuff! I highly recommend her!

Two years ago, I decided that I wanted to learn to play guitar, and write my own songs. After extensive research of locations, pricing, credentials, and online reviews; I decided to give Tommy at Over the Mountain Music School a call. I am so glad that I did. I like the fact that music theory is taught in context of songs that I wanted to learn to play. Being in my mid 40's my tastes in music gravitate towards the 60s through the 80s. But in talking to other students I see that the repitoire of material taught ranges from Taylor Swift to Black Sabbath, to Jazz standards, regardless of style theory was introduced, making me not just a better guitarist, but a better musician, now capable of writing my own songs and exploring my own ideas. There have been many examples of Tommy's going above and beyond as a teacher. One that particularly made an impression on me was when I wanted to learn to play "The Fountain of Lamneth" by Rush. It is a long tricky song with numerous key and time changes. For months I searched for an accurate arrangement. Tommy took the time to transcribe a 17 minute song and teach it to me. He nailed it I can't express strongly enough how dedicated and passionate a teacher Tommy is. I always look forward to lessons and am amazed at how quickly my own development as a musician has been. Great school, great teacher, fair pricing and dedication make this an outstanding experience. Thank you Tommy for all you do

Having a classical background, I felt I needed help with learning how to transpose music in to different keys as well as improve my timing or rhythem. With knowledge & encouragement, Mr Dowe has built up my confidence to play popular tunes & even jazz numbers. 'It's wonderful to play & appreciate all kinds of music!

Alberto Abril was my guitar teacher for about two years and he transformed me from almost a complete beginner into a knowledgeable and experienced player. He taught me the necessary components of guitar playing by working on the songs, genres, and skills which I was interested in and enjoyed. Through this method, I learned the parts of music which are necessary for one to learn to become a better guitar player and which some people would consider boring in a fun and engaging way. Alberto is an extremely talented guitar player and he can basically teach and play any genre of music. The lessons he taught me spanned from Jazz to rock and even to classical. On top of this, he is also an excellent teacher. His best trait as guitar teacher is that he can explain the most difficult of lessons in a way that even someone with no experience in music could understand. I am extremely thankful for the time I got with Alberto as my teacher due to the great amount that I learned from him, how much better I became at guitar playing, and how well Alberto was at teaching the subject. I would definitely recommend Alberto Abril as a guitar teacher to anyone who wants to learn how to play guitar or to enhance their skills as guitar players.
