FAQs
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I've wanted to be a professional ballet dancers since I was 12 years old. As a teenager and young adult, I had very few other interest and goals. Ballet is one of the most injurious forms of exercise and I spent years in and out of physical and massage therapy. Massage helped me heal and prevent my own injuries and because of dance, I've always been interested in body mechanics. I choose massage because I had a lot of experience being the patient and saw firsthand how the effects of massage can prevent and heal. I want to be able to pass on my experiences and knowledge to others.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Look for a massage therapist that you can communicate with and really listens to your needs. You want someone that makes you feel comfortable and at ease. A therapist that is open to feedback is one that can listen and serve you.
