1-1 Online Tutoring in all 50 States We are based in Las Vegas ALL of our tutors have degrees! Our mission is to help over 5,000 students develop a solid foundation, get up to grade level and restore their confidence. We do this by creating interactive ONE-ON-ONE learning experiences for our students whether it's through a live online session or in-person. Our remote tutoring services deliver RESULTS and are held to the same standards as our in-person. Individualized learning is our specialty. We tutor ALL subjects including Spanish, Mandarin, and French. Our passionate tutors work with students Kindergarten-College and all of our tutors have degrees. Most of them are teachers or former teachers. We would love to help your student reach their goals.

My daughter was tutored by Sara for 10th grade Honors Biology. With Sara’s help, she was able to raise her grade from a C+ the previous trimester to a B+, just .2% from an A-. We are so pleased, Sara gave my daughter confidence that she was not “just bad at Bio” but just needed extra resources and individual time. For all the work Sara did before and after each session, I felt the cost was more than reasonable. Even though they were 1500 miles and a time zone apart, it was easy and efficient to connect online. Would not hesitate to use this tutoring service if my daughter struggles with any subject in the future. Thank you!

We had an amazing experience with our math tutor, Samiya. She tutored our daughter who has been struggling with math for years and we saw a marked improvement after just a few months. Our daughter would look forward to each session and enjoyed her fun yet informative approach. Highly recommend!

I love that we found Horizon for my 1st grader! I am so pleased with the process from the beginning. Samiya went above and beyond in asking what our needs were and making sure each of those needs were met. She put my mind at ease and made me feel that my son’s progress was just as important to her as it was to me. Our tutor, Jan, has also made this process the best. He is always encouraging my son as he helps him. He makes learning easy by providing different ways to learn and by putting my son at ease. As I write this review, Im smiling with complete satisfaction with Horizon Star Tutoring. I usually dont give 5 stars but I cant recall a reason why this professional tutoring company deserves anything less. My first meeting with Samiya made me feel as if I was talking with a close relative who knew my childs struggle. She showed compassion and empathy towards the hurdles my daughter needed to succeed. Samiya took the time to explain in detail the areas my daughter was lacking and how with her help and my childs motivation, she and I would see results. She wasnt concerned about the money but more about seeing a child go from being depressed about failing grades to holding their head up high because they now knew the answers to questions that were challenging before. She was always prompt and mindful of staying on track for each lesson. I never felt there was a moment that my child was not learning and retaining the concepts she was learning. Thank you Samiya...you truly made a difference in my daughters life as well as mine. Keep shining and helping kids, because you are the star thats on the horizon for us. So if your looking for a A+ tutor for your child, dont look any further, its here .

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
We start at $60/hr for elementary school, $65/hr for middle school and $70/hr for high school. Pricing for college students starts at $75/hr. Test prep starts at $80/hr
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Every relationship with a new client starts with a phone consultation. I get to know the family and what the student's goals and needs are. Then I am able to match them with a tutor that fits those needs
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I graduated as valedictorian of my highschool and went on to graduate college as Summa Cum Laude. I own a tutoring company in Las Vegas. We work with students K-College and all of our tutors have degrees. Most of them are teachers or former teachers.
