We aimed to celebrated our one year wedding anniversary with a fun party with fresh food that we didn't have to prepare, cook or even think about. Chef Gilleum was great. He was responsive, flexible, knowledgeable, and prepared. He brought every utensil, every chafing dish, and left our kitchen spotless. All we had to do was supply the plates, silverware, seating and venue. We talked a few times prior about the right menu for our event. He added a chimichurri and chocolate mousse for us that were both out of this world! The food was cooked to perfection. Every item was savory and well seasoned. We were all left full and happy, even had a few plates of leftovers. Cannot complain. The man knows catering. He introduced each dish to the group and was a genuinely nice, friendly, talented guy. Chef, we'll see you soon for your bbq pick up service! Thanks again!

Thank you Smokey Jays for making our evening with my family an amazing experience. I highly recommend Smokey Jays. Chef Gilleum was very easy to work with. He made it very simple to come up with a fantastic menu. He stayed within my budget. He was quick with response to my questions. Dinner night he communicated with me hours before. He was on time and very professional and properly dressed. He was very conversational as he prepared our meal. He surprisingly brought my family a special extra item. His food is delicious and we had plenty of leftover for the fun midnight snacks. I can’t thank him enough. If you are thinking about having a special event don’t miss the opportunity to work with Chef Gilleum with Smokey Joes.

We hired Smokey Jays for my wedding. They went above and beyond the others. Gilleum called and explained in detail the food, allowed me to make customizations and followed up. The day of the wedding they showed up with all our needs and requests. All my guests LOVED how much personable they were and how delicious their food was. If I were to do it again - I would still hire them. I highly recommend this sweet couple to all looking for catering or anything they need delicious food for.

Chef Gilleum and his team worked beyond our expectations! We had approximately 60 guests for a buffet setting as well as a server bringing out au d’oeuvres. Everything was perfect! Working and communicating with him was easy. From being punctual, great team work, buffet setup, presentation, and cleanliness was fantastic! The food was delicious!! All my friends were astonished by the tenderness of the ribeye and brisket, the flavor of the chicken, shrimp, tuna, mushrooms…one flavor after another! Not to forget his wife, Natalia was our bartender and served the best drinks I’ve had by far!! Finally, I cannot forget the friendliness of all his team! Chef Gilleum put so much effort and worked so hard to make things spot on and all with a smile for the entire 7 hours! He made it happen and my anxiety was nowhere near 1/10!!! Big thank you to you Chef and your team! Until our next event!!

I was going to college and needed a job. So I started as a supervisor in a retirement home. Within 3 weeks, I knew I would do this for the rest of my life. 13 years later and it’s the best decision I ever made.
