I am just getting started with Dustin but I want to share how amazing he is. As of yet I don't have any before of after Photos but I have every confidence I will. I have had other trainers which put me through a lot of rigorous exercise and weight training to see minimal results. A few years back I had a car accident and wasn't able to do much of anything for 3 years. All of the muscle tone I had built up was gone and so when Dustin got me it was like starting from scratch. Dustin is a very caring trainer but he's not soft. He will work you, be prepared. Communication is key. If you aren't feeling any results or challenge let him know. He can't read your mind, but he will make sure that the workout he's giving you is going to be effective for your body type and he does customize it for you. He knows of my injuries and letting him know if you are having any issue is very important to your progress & health. Dustin always checks up on me even when I'm not in the gym. He makes sure that I'm feeling well, prepared and my general well-being. I haven't had that kind of concern in any trainers I've had. It shows he really cares for his clients. I was concerned he wouldn't be able to work around my schedule because sometimes my hours are really odd but he's been great with working with me even when things arise. I'm very happy and confident with him as my trainer I have all faith that he will get me to the point I've been wanting to get to and have been struggling to meet. I have learned before I ever met Dustin that getting in shape is a process, if you're expecting immediate results you're not going to see that and it's not because Dustin isnt an excellent trainer. It's just not how our bodies work. However I will add, my pant size is lose now! So If you stick with the program, eat the plan he has set for you, you will see progress. The only drawback is that I will need a whole new wardrobe in a few months! The Horror! ( You hear that Dustin! I'm holding you personally responsible!!) 😊 I have every confidence in Dustin. I started with Dustin in early January 2020 with the starting weight of 195 lbs and body fat of 27.2% (per my scale). Oh boy! The first few sessions were really tough and at one point, I was questioning whether I should give it up. However, Dustin is always there motivating and checking on me with responsible eating and exercising. He provided basic guidance on my diet as well as supplements to support my weight loss journey. With 8 sessions, I was able to drop the weight to 182 lbs and body fat at 17.8%. Dustin does a good job picking out exercises he knows will work for you..additionally , he will talk to you about nutrition .. eating properly to get the most benefit out of training . Remember , personal trainers can only do so much. You must add input as well , ask dustin at times if your firm is right . If not, he will show you the right for so u get the best out of your sessions with him . Dustin is a very laid back guy, but he does care to help you help yourself to get in the best possible shape. I highly recommend dustin ad I have been training with him over a year on top of my own training. I've list 60 pounds and have packed on alot of muscle.Nov 9, 2015
Dustin Richter is quite simply the smartest trainer in Las Vegas. Dustin exemplifies that in two critical ways: he intuitively gets to know you, your goals and your capabilities and works with you in a smart, safe and incremental way to get you towards achieving them. The other key thing about Dustin is that he never stops educating himself on best practices on fitness, health and wellness. He subtly works that into your workouts and conversations with him. Lastly, I think the other key thing about Dustin is that he's not over the top or in your face. It's not about theatrics; it's about consistency and long-term change and results. There's a reason why so many of his clients stay with him for years. He really cares and everyone who has worked with him sees that everyday. I have been training 2 times per week with Dustin for more than 5 years. I have been very pleased with his services. He is able to keep workouts interesting and challenging, while ensuring I don't exacerbate injuries or create new ones. In particular before I started working out with him, I had chronic back pain, but was always doing back, glutes, and leg exercises which seem to make it worse. He was able to improve my results, while changing the routine such that my back pain is no longer an issue. Additionally, I have had severe pain in both shoulders from injuries that have completely resolved while still maintaining my workouts. Dustin is an inspiration as far as his diet. He eats well and inspires me to do the same. Further, he keeps himself in very good shape, which is also motivating. - What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?I do everything within my power to develop the most effective training plan possible for achieving your health and fitness goals while still staying within your budget. Just because I have a great deal of experience and have been fortunate enough to experience an awesome amount of successful with my clients doesn’t mean I charge exorbitant fees for my services.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?First we should correspond via message or verbally over the phone in order to discuss your precise goals, current fitness levels, injuries, past experiences with exercise and nutrition, and any other questions or concerns you may have. From there we can schedule a complimentary workout/fitness assessment so that you can try out a workout for yourself and assess my abilities. Then from there, we work together to formulate the training plan that will best allow you to accomplish your goals, while still respecting your budget and time availabilities.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?I have been certified by the National Academy of Sports Medicine, International Sports Sciences Association, International Fitness Professionals Association, Apex Group, and DotFit over my 16 year career. I also attended the University of Nevada Las Vegas for 4 years and am pursuing my degree in Exercise Physiology with an emphasis in nutrition, to elevate my credentials and knowledge base to the highest level I can.
