Introduction: I don't believe in the standard when it comes to posing for portraits, I feel that the best pictures come from the heart. Those fleeting moments of emotion that only happen so often. I strive to capture the true smiles when your eyes light up. I would rather live in the background rather than in the foreground. The ability to capture beauty in its true form, the most rewarding part of my job is when my clients beam with happiness after they see their pictures.

I used to dabble in modeling a few years ago, but only had a handful of shoots. I wanted to do something special and classy as a gift for my boyfriend, and Karissa helped me SO much. I found us a location, and we only had two hours...Karissa put me at ease, and took SO many amazing photographs...my boyfriend was pleased, and so was I. I'd never had a photographer make me feel so at ease, and so beautiful! There is little she won't do for the perfect shot...climbing over railings, scaling rocks, and even getting in a pool. I can't wait to book another shoot!

I needed a photographer with a high skill level to be able to take a plethora of different shots and angles as this shoot was to be used for the cover of my next independent novel. I chose Karissa not only due to her portfolio on here and Facebook, but also her reviews as my comfort level was of utmost importance. The shoot went flawlessly and she is an amazing person person to work with! I highly recommend working with her! She chose the location and the poses and my shots came out looking fabulous! I'm constantly researching new techniques and gathering new tips and info on the latest product.
What types of customers have you worked with?
I mainly shoot portraits and weddings, but I also occasionally shoot event and commercial.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
I'm not your typical photographer. I won't pose you unless it's needed. I'd rather get to a comfort level with my clients. My best work comes from clients who can genuinly be themselves.
