In my counseling sessions with Jerushia I had the opportunity to openly discuss some of the personal challenges I’ve been facing recently. She created a safe and non-judgmental environment, which made me feel comfortable sharing my feelings and concerns. We spent the initial part of the sessions exploring some past experiences that may be influencing my current behaviors and thoughts. Jerushia was empathetic and actively listened, helping me feel validated and understood.
As the sessions progressed, we focused on identifying patterns in my thought processes, particularly those that might be negatively impacting my self-esteem and decision-making. Jerushia guided me with her “no nonsense real world analogies aimed at recognizing these patterns and provided tools to reframe my mindset. I appreciated how she followed up with me ensuring that I could apply the principles outside of our sessions. This approach helped me gain insight into how I can manage my emotions more effectively.
By the end of the sessions, again and again, I felt a renewed sense of clarity and empowerment. We set some realistic goals for me to work on until our next meeting, which made me feel motivated to make small, positive changes in my life. Overall, the sessions were productive, and I left feeling hopeful about my journey toward better well-being.
