Lauren's Tutoring Service

As a child, I remember breaking down and crying because I did not grasp fractions. I worked with a tutor, and my world was immediately transformed. From that moment on, I developed a love for all things math and went on to earn a degree in civil engineering. My goal as a tutor is to enable school-aged children and adolescents to not only simply pass tests but to also erase the disdain and frustration that is sometimes associated with math respective subjects. It is amazing how many doors can be opened with an understanding and appreciation of math, rather than a fear of it. I enjoy seeing someone finally grasp an understanding of a subject he/she had previously struggled with. It can be very empowering for that individual.
