My name is Shawn Fariss. I'm new to Thumbtack but not to the trade. I've been doing business in the Capital District for over 20 years. While working in both single-family and multi-unit rental properties, I continuously noticed shoddy repairs and renovations. A few years ago, I branched out to offer complete remodeling services with an attention to detail - to fill the void in the Capital District marketplace.

I will gladly give Shawn a 5-star rating. I hired a landscape contractor last fall from Angie's List who left me high and dry. He completed less than half of the job then disappeared with 50% of my money. Shawn was referred by a neighbor. He stopped doing what he was doing knowing that seeding the lawn was time sensitive. He finished grading the yard, planted the seed and jerry-rigged a sprinkler system so we did not have to walk on the new seed to move the hose. One of a kind service.

I had SRF do a gut and remodel on an investment property. Admittedly I'm difficult to please but was pleased with the outcome. I would recommend them and use them again.
