Yooyoun is specialized in jazz guitar but can provide tailored lessons regardless of the styles you play. The focuses are on good technique, better understandings of the fretboard, repertoire, chord melody arrangements, improvisation et al.
<Live Jazz Band>
Jazz combos of various sizes—e.g. solo, duo, trio, quartet or more—are available for your events. We consist of professional working jazz musicians in NYC area, and our music will certainly brighten your venues. For recurring performances at local café's/bars/restaurants, we can talk further with discounted rates.
<About Me>
Yooyoun is an experienced jazz guitarist based in NYC, who played on settings spanning from coffee shops, major jazz clubs like Dizzy's to international jazz festivals such as Jarasum Jazz Festival. He received Master's degree in Jazz Studies at SUNY Purchase.

Yooyoun Cho is the best musician who has great professionalism with a piece of great Jazz music.

Yooyoun is a considerate and professional guitar instructor who has a clear lesson plan tailored to each person. As a complete beginner, I felt that the learning process was simple but rewarding. I’ve been taking lessons with Yooyoun for about an year now, and have only had great experiences so far! He is a very skilled guitar instructor, and his lessons are a good mix of being practical and theoretical. On top of that he is a very kind and understanding person. He has my strong recommendation for anyone who wants to learn jazz guitar!

He is a professional bebop and swing guitar player. He has a great knowledge from Chalrie Christian to Pasquale Grasso who is his mentor. If you want to learn this beautiful language called Bebop he is the best choice for your improvement. He taught a new song each time(Melody, Chords, How to improvise) thoroughly. You can extend your repertoire every time. I strongly recommend him.
