- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We have a small conversation either by phone or by text, where we can introduce ourselves, and the customer can describe their situation, as well as what needs to be done. Any special circumstances of the job (i.e. plants need watering, pet needs/feeding schedule, required equipment, pet's temperament, etc.) also are to be mentioned during this conversation. Afterwards I can give them my quote for the job, accounting for any fees or discounts, and complete the job on the scheduled date. Any further correspondence is by no means discouraged, however these act as my bare minimum standards.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
Initially I started doing this kind of work as favors for close friends and family, however I noticed that my strong work ethic and appreciation for many kinds of pets showed that I had a knack for these jobs, and so I wanted to offer my services to people who don't happen to have someone like that available.
