Introduction: I pride myself on being Professional, friendly, very knowledgeable & well experienced (over 25 years in the business f/t plus more p/t). I am not a big company but, am small business doing most if not all of the work myself with or without an assistant when necessary. My experiences In the plumbing industry are a mix of " older & newer ways & materials" combined with Modern technology. I try & provide you with several options from low to high depending upon your budget. I am honest & often lower or the same price than many other companies. I pride myself on attention to details making sure the Job is right as well as complete. I try to price based upon the Job instead of just by the hour plus materials. examples of the above You can pay $1000 for a modern technology toilet that will do almost everything for you. But do you need such a toilet? probably not. I provide major brand names that are known & reliable & the manufacturers/ suppliers stand behind them. Water heaters for example I only purchase & install A.o. Smith gas water heaters purchased from a professional supply stores. I only use quality & name brand materials that are Astm approved etc.I can provide same or next day service M-Th. On Fridays My hours are only until 1 pm from Sept.- April & until 3 pm May-August. Unlike most others I can come out Most Sundays often @ no extra charge.Like many professionals i do charge a service fee to come out but, my time is valuable just like yours & gas is just under $3 a gallon. I ask you to consider when you go to the Dr. or most other professions etc. Most times you pay upfront before service is provided. Thumbtack is free to you but costs me & every contractor a fee for every lead Up front. on top of that there is the cost of gas & tolls when necessary. those costs add up. Unlike many others If I do the Job I will include the fee in the price
No one can please everyone but At least I try I make the extra effort to even if it doesn't work. No one especially Me is perfect anyone who says otherwise would be a foll & lying to themselves as well.

Additionally If you read the reviews what customers don't tell you in their reviews especially the poor ones for ex.
One customer falsely claim,ed it took me 5 days to complete a job but they are lying & not even telling the whole truth.
Here are things the customer did not post in their review 1. the original request was to try & fix an existing shower body. After reviewing the photo. I advised the customer immediately It does not pay to try & find new parts for that shower faucet which was ancient & outdated. I further advised her that if the parts could be located there would be a minimum fee of App. $350. On that basis she agreed for me to come look etc.
Up[on arrival & viewing the situation I again advised to open the tile wall & replace he body & associated piping. The client insisted I try & find the parts for the existing one
upon viewing & removing the existing defective piece I spent the next hour plus back & forth on the phone with a plumbing specialty store in Yonkers that could not determine the brand name unless the inner cartridge was removed. 1.
The said cartridges were either not removable or because the inside of the spindles were cheap plastic that had cracked in half.
2. The customer did not want to break the tile wall to install a new single pressure valve shower body as per NYS plumbing code in most cases but wanted a similar type 2 valve shower body inserted thru the back & the existing holes if possible.
3. After opening the back wall on the other side of the bathroom inside a closet I found that we could not do so for 3 reasons 1. the main reason is the main waste line is located directly behind same 2. There were 2 beams there as well that didn't allow for it & 3 the position of the existing body was in the corner outside the confines of the closet.
So after wasting 2- 3 hrs already not only was there no choice but to open the tile wall but there was no way to shut the running water in the shower without shutting the main water to the house.. out of the goodness of my heart & professionalism I proposed to go back to my office pick up the necessary supplies & special tools for same on a 95 degree day in the middle of the day & run to a supply store pick up the necessary valves & related materials come back & install valves on the water supply lines to that bathroom in order to restore the water to the rest of the house that same day.
Including all the back & forth I spent an extra full day ( app. 7 hours) back & forth 2x & on the site installing new valves to restore the water. Day 2 I also proposed to them to install new shut off valves for their whole bathroom so any future needs or renovations planned would not necessitate a whole house shut down. & I also purchased for them as an extra courtesy to save the amount of time the water to the whole house would be off to facilitate that installation quick install shark bite valves which are double the price of regular valves. At the same time the whole morning I had to deal with bickering & arguments between the husband & wife putting me in the middle of it because the wife couldn't stay off the phone long enough to inform her husband that I was shutting the water off even though because I purchased & installed the Shark bite valves which just push on they had water 10 minutes later & did not have to wait for me to clean the pipes & the inside of the valves in preparation for soldering them on a process of app. 30 minutes or so.
I also gave them new shut off valves for the bathroom sink since it was necessary to remove the old ones to facilitate installation of the new main bathroom shutoff valves & the new shower body & affiliated supply pipe while enabling them to be able to shower in the other bathroom use the facilities etc. as needed. That installation took most of the day.
On top of doing all that work I found a carpenter for them at no charge to come & open the wall for his convenience & my necessity to reduce his workload & restore the tile wall in the bathroom & the inside closet wall at no extra charge!
After all that I even returned the next day at the carpenter's request since he couldn't figure out how to properly install the shower cartridge for the new body & seemed to be clueless as to how to remove & re install to screws that shut off the water to the shower if & when necessary to easily replace a defective cartridge with ease without shutting down a whole house or building.
so for 2 full days work & party of a third they paid a total of $950 L & M a very low price & falsely claim a burn hole in their carpet of which they never showed me or said one word to me about & the husband had the gall to say that he didn't have to pay me for opening the wall in the closet since the tile wall had to be opened & partially replaced to install a new shower body!
