We called Vladimir to fix our windows - they kept opening and we were unable to leave them just a crack open without the top sliding all the way down.

If you are looking for UV film installation, or really most any kind of window repairs, I highly recommend using Window Service.
We have a east/south-facing condo in Brooklyn with a 20 foot ceiling in the main living area. There are large lower and upper windows in both directions, and floor-to-ceiling windows in the corner- meaning the entire room heats up FAST when the sun rises. After a renovation, we wanted to put UV film on the windows to reduce heat and bleaching from the sun. I contacted at least 8 companies via the web and phone (3 or 4 were through Thumbtack). Most never even bothered to get back to me, but Vlad at Window Service came out, showed me photos of the other (excellent) UV installations they have done and explained the different types of film choices available. He also gave me a great price (compared to the one other quote I received).
They came out, spent about 6 hours installing it and it looks great! They were very friendly and professional, and cleaned up the space before leaving.
I would definitely use them again and will refer them to my neighbors here in our building.
