The inside pane of my apartment window was sadly cracked. They replaced the broken glass, cleaned the window, and ensured the locking mechanism worked when putting the pane back. They also were very punctual and communicative -- usually you can't get anyone on the phone with contractors, but not with these folks! They always replied promptly and let me know exactly where they were and when to expect them. They were in and out in under an hour, and quoted me more than 1/3rd cheaper of a price than another agency I looked at. (300$ originally down to 190$ with these guys). They also gave an invoice for their work with no issue. I suspect my landlord will hire them back for the other apartments! Great service for window repairs!

My late husband studied engineering before pursuing middle eastern music and instrument restoration. He knew how things should be done and he respected good craftsmen and women: He would have really appreciated Brandon and Joe from Starfyre Glass and Windows. Over the years, I've had lots of professional workers in my apartment; Starfyre is among the best of these. They expertly removed a Morrocan shutter and grille to replace a bathroom window and they put the shutter back correctly; a repair to my living room window now allows me to open and close it. They are knowledgeable across a range of skills (painting and French door replacement, for example); their work is precise; they responded to my inquiry immediately, and I found both Joe and Brandon to be punctual, trustworthy (a woman's got to be careful about who comes into the apartment), responsible for clean-up, and so polite and personable without being intrusive. And the cost was reasonable too. I will hire Starfyre again; I'll save myself headaches, scammers, and guys who talk a good game but do a bad job. Thank you, Starfyre!

I initially contacted Torino Home Repair, LLC through Thumbtack in the course of a search for someone to handle a window repair. As it turned out, when Mr. Luca Morello ( a native Northern Italian ) and his wife, Mrs. Angela Morello ( who ensures that communication is perfect ) arrived, we decided that the window job be put on hold awaiting the return of a tenant away on business. I found the Morellos so knowledgeable and easy to deal with however that I asked if Luca would consider another job I needed done --- hanging a number of heavy, fragile mirrors. Luca is a man of many skills and he agreed to look at the mirror job. Once he had assessed the job, he took preparatory measurements and gave me an estimate. I had to reschedule the work date, twice. The Morellos were absolutely gracious and patient about rearranging the time. On the day of the job, Mr. Morello arrived punctually, completely equipped and having obtained in advance all the materials necessary to accomplish the job, and having thought out in advance how best to approach it. He set to work immediately and worked, carefully, tirelessly, skillfully and intelligently until the job was finished, perfectly. No coffee breaks, no complaints, no cell phone talking or texting, no excuses, no short-cuts, no requests for additional pay, no distractions and no attempts to parlay the job into additional work. And no broken mirrors. He also provided solid advice when I asked his opinion regarding placement and positioning of the mirrors. The Morellos are delightful, honest and fair. Luca Morello's work is excellent. I highly recommend Torino Home Repair, and I look forward to future encounters with the Morellos.
