Sylvain Marie is focused, neat, professional, unobtrusive, thorough. He delivers exactly what he promises. Refinishing an antique piece of furniture in someone's home comes with built in disadvantages and compromises, yet I couldn't be more pleased with the work that he did on maltreated black lacquer dresser. Sylvain did a fantastic job repairing some chairs that had broken stretchers and re-fastening loose cushions. He was also incredibly responsive and flexible in coordinating pick-up and delivery- all in all, he was a pleasure to work with, and I look forward to working with him again on an upcoming reupholstery project.

Sylvain is truly a miracle worker. An antique rocking chair that's been in my family for a long was very badly damaged. He was able to put it back together so seamlessly that you would never know it had been broken. He brought it back looking better than it's ever looked before. Not really but I challenge myself every day because every piece of antiques have a different story issues all the time never the same
How did you get started doing this type of work?
When I around 8 years my mother send for a week to work with a real antiques restorer and I felt in love with this profession since then:)

re polishing or regluing or touch up most of the time usually it's refinishing
