Cromont Moving and Storage was an excellent moving company during a last-minute move I just had a few days ago. Before the move and official hiring for the task, they eased my tensions by responding to all of my questions - and I had many. I have had bad experiences with movers in the past so I covered all my bases and ask them a bunch of questions and they diligently and very pleasantly responded to them satisfactory and to the point. That's why I chose this company over others I had inquired about the move. The movers arrived right at the arrival window at 9:03 a.m. on move out day. Mind you the arrival window posted for the move out day was from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. - so super punctual. Danny and Lou arrived right on time and first did assessment of the items listed in my inventory and came right up a while after to dismantle all the furniture and appropriately wrap it. Danny and Lou coordinated amongst each other which pieces they would do first and which would be last - very organized in their process. My mom and I were super impressed because my last movers did none of this. They took their time taking care of every furniture piece, but they also worked very diligently and by 11:15 a.m. they were all packed up and loading the final items on their truck. Danny and Lou were super courteous and professional and they seem like they can do this move with their eyes closed - super experts in the process. I was thoroughly impressed watching them do the work. I even asked one of the guys if I can record a small video of them wrapping the items to show a family member that had helped me pack for the move - that's how good they were. Once everything was out of the apartment, the guys confirmed the destination (which was a storage) and I went to get my car to meet them at the storage. When we arrived to the storage which was about 20 miles away, Danny and Lou are already there waiting for us. I accompanied the guys going up and down the storage since you have to enter an access code to go in and out of the storage and its elevator. I asked him to put all the furniture and the boxes that they brought to one side since I have more boxes that I brought myself to the storage days prior. They were able to handle this diligently and professionally with no hassle, all while being nice, courteous and attentive to my needs. They were a god-send for a situation that could have been very stressful, and they made it all so easy and seamless. I highly recommend this moving company. My movers Danny and Lou were the best ever. Both guys and this moving company will definitely handle my next move into my new apartment in the coming months. FIVE STARS ACROSS THE BOARD!

Overall, I’m super glad I went with Cromont Moving for my long-distance move from New York to Georgia. They did a great job from start to finish. I actually had the same team of three gentlemen pick up my belongings, help me pack a few last-minute things, transport everything to Georgia, and move it into my new place. Seeing the same faces on both ends of the move made me feel especially good about choosing a family-owned business.
The only hiccup along the way was getting clarity around my exact delivery date, but they were very responsive by text and kept me updated throughout the process. While my belongings were being held temporarily in storage, they also sent me photos, which gave me extra peace of mind. Most importantly, everything arrived with zero damage.
My belongings arrived within three weeks, the pricing was very fair for a long-distance move, and I felt like my things were handled with care throughout the process.
Overall, I had a really positive experience and would definitely recommend Cromont Moving for a long-distance move.

I had some heavy furniture thinking these guys would struggle but they were very good and fast, but maybe too fast. They gave me a flat rate but on second thought I should have asked for an hourly rate being they were so fast and efficient. All in all I highly recommend them.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Best method for us is a visual, be it video call or on-site estimate. Phone call with pictures is great as well. This is the best process of getting an all-inclusive quote.
Most of the time when there are changes or extra charges it's due to representative or sales consultant making a mistake or misrepresenting.
There is many components to a move, and just texting or phone call will not do it all. We can take more time and we will ask you for pictures because we care about providing correct estimates and preparing our crews and movers for the right move without surprises to the customer or us.
