For long distance moves and 2 or more bedroom moves, you can either send pictures to us, or we can assign an agent for an on-site estimate free of charge within New York City. 4. The estimated price will include: Movers, truck, gas, parking muni-meter, tolls within the city, basic beds disassembly and reassembly, protective furniture blankets, tapes, tools, dollies, plastic stretch wrap, free use of wardrobe boxes during transit. 5. In order to send you a quote, we will need the following info: * Name & Email & Phone number Pick up and drop off addresses, and the number of stairs flight at each location * Inventory list.

I can't seem to find right words to thank Great Movers. I was suppose to post this review way back but I was tied up unpacking and settling down in my new place. We moved with Great Movers in a quick shot. Literally the move only took 2 hours and I moved from a 1 bedroom apartment from Brooklyn to Queens. Move was on one of the craziest day traffic wise but they were quick and efficient. I will put down good word for these hardworking young movers!

Like others i am also going to give 5 stars and a good review to this moving company because they really earned. When you move your home using a moving company it means you are relying on them and giving your trust to that company. I have moved 5 times before moving with Great Movers and all went with small losses to me. Like scratches on my furniture or a broken leg of table etc and therefore each time i hired different moving company. But for the first time i experienced a completely relaxed and stress free move. I wonder why didn't i find these guys before in my life. You can trust them blindly they are professional, fast and most importantly they are honest. They don't have hidden charges. In fact they will completely describe you about everything before your move. But astonishingly they provide such an excellent service at very low cost. Use Great Movers, no doubt that they will make your day.

I couldnt have asked for a better service. I booked my move pretty much last minute, we moved in to storage with Kobe and his crew. I found out about Great Movers through thumbtack and I thought this is just hoax. Movers NYC were so expensive but this company turned out the most affordable and clear in prices. My movers bailed out on me because of some unbelievable reason. We scheduled the move with a very small and easy to book process. My move was seamless. I was not prepared at all. Movers packed my belongings into boxes and were kind enough to help me take down ac and TV. but a note: they will not install the tv and AC after the move in to a new move because of safety reasons, which totally makes sense. We were packed up in no time. I moved from a studio to a studio so it was a fairly quick move. throughout the move, the crew kept asking me about which items to be moved and which were to be taken to storage. My move was divided into 2 parts. I moved from Bushwick to Parkslope and then some of my stuff went to storage at Varick Street.

I have worked with quite a few moving companies but Great Movers were the best I have worked with. On time, price was as what they said. They even helped me move my couch to the curb side. My move was from Park Slope to LES and we were done with in 2.5 hours which is almost impossible, but they did it! thanks guys

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Standard pricing system is like, for 2 movers, we normally charge $ 105 an hour. Pricing depends upon many factors, like number of movers, walk up or elevators, dates.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We start with a very easy and simplified booking process, this includes sending a free of cost estimate for the move. After the customer approved the estimate, we schedule them for the specified date and time. That being done, we then touch base with customer a day or two before the move to make sure everything is good to go and if there hasn't been any change of plans.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Bachelors in business administration, while working part time for a moving company. With time the part time job at moving company turned into a full time job and then into a self owned moving company, called Great Movers.
