Private Online Painting & Drawing Lessons

I offer private online painting and drawing lessons for beginners through advanced students, focused on building strong fundamentals and helping you develop your own work. I currently teach painting at Columbia University and work as a professional exhibiting artist. My lessons are structured, supportive, and tailored to your specific goals. This is a great fit for complete beginners who want to learn from scratch, intermediate artists looking to improve technique, students preparing portfolios for art school, and adults developing a serious creative practice. In our sessions, you’ll learn how to accurately draw what you see, understand light, color, and composition, and build stronger, more engaging images. We begin with core fundamentals and gradually shift toward making the kind of work that interests you, whether from observation, memory, or imagination. Lessons are held over Zoom and are typically ongoing weekly sessions, allowing for real progress over time.
