I am relatively new to professionally organizing/decluttering, but I have been doing it for my friends and family my entire life! I have a gift for seeing the potential that spaces have to offer. And I love seeing that potential be fulfilled! My specialty is to help you decluttering. I will help get rid of excess clutter (clothes, kitchen items, food, furniture etc.), reorganize a bedroom, a kitchen, an office, a closet, drawers, the fridge, papers, book cases, storage units, whatever you need! I'll help you figure out how to move forward with your vision for your space and we will work on fulfilling it no matter how crazy it seems! I am patient and non-judgemental. I don't care how messy your place is (the messier the better honestly). I will never shame you! I will only uplift! Muriel was an amazing find! I've been stuck with clutter and organizational back logged for years. I originally hired her to just deal with my bedroom. She went through it like a hot knife through butter. It was absolutely inspiring. I've read the Marie Kondo books n saw the series. Several other books and articles as well but even the Netflix series didn't move as well as Muriel. She was accommodating, informative and versatile. If I seemed to not like a technique or strategy she easily pivoted to another or just incorporated my own quirky particulars without missing a beat. The resultant momentum of success moved on to the bane of my chaos the main storage room. I would've thought I'd need medication n hazmat gear to tackle that but she just walked in and started explaining some of her ideas in a sweet kind voice while beating the snot out my clutter. I had other contractors coming n often had to step away. Each time I returned...I swear to God... it was changing like scenes in a movie. Picture a reversal of Indiana Jones at a lethal dig site but where he's totally losing it, while Marion glides through rubble, solves the riddle, finds the artifact n helps Indy off the floor to steamer ship home. I'm hopeful for the first time in years that I can actually declutter n organize my home. I've still a lot of work but I've seen miraculous stuff with my new clutter exorcist Muriel so I no longer fear the...Dishevel.

Working with Muriel was amazing. If you’re anything like me and just the thought of home organizing gives you anxiety, you cannot find a better person to work with than Muriel. First, off she’s so excited by turning chaos into order, and it’s inspiring to see someone so passionate about something that is a normally daunting task. First off, she’s super creative in her approach to organizing, often using things you already have. Two, Muriel is really fun to talk to and a pleasure to work with (it’s a team sport!) We focused on my closet, kitchen, and bathroom. Formerly full of junk and boxes, now all in order! Whenever I’d say, “I think I need to keep that!” she would always joke, “for now!” — by the end, I realized that she was mostly right, and I’d come to peace with parting with things I *thought* I needed. This is one of those experiences that you don’t realize how much better your day-to-day life is until you work with someone that can really optimize your space (at a very reasonable price). Plus, she was so helpful with donating my extra clothes and suit. I’ve already referred Muriel to friends, and I hope to work with her again!

I charge $45/hour
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I like to meet potential customers over FaceTime or in person before working together. After that initial meeting if we both agree that we're a good fit, it's on! My method is to go through things by category and then by item. So, after everything is sorted, I go through item by item with the customer and see if they want to throw it away, donate, sell, or keep it. And when that's all done, we begin the process putting everything in its place. I like to clean as I go :)
