Introduction: My work stands out for several reasons.
First, I have a great attention for detail. In music -- whether teaching, performing, or composing, the attention to detail is of the utmost importance. The second is my emphasis on musical feeling. In my opinion, if the soul of music is absent, then the music ceases to be music. Finally, I believe firmly in finding and demonstrating the common ground between all styles of music. Classical music, when played right, should have the excitement and energy of a rock concert. A rock song should have the precision and musical interest of a classical piece.
I love that I am able to make music my job. It's all I've ever known! I love watching a student, young or old, master a tricky passage of music after some practice. I love that I am able to make my own discoveries about music, and pass them on to someone else.

Nick is a fantastic teacher and an all around good guy. He has been working with my young daughter for the past year and her understanding of music theory and basic technique has shown amazing progress. I am more than happy to recommend Nick for both children and adults.

Nick is not only an outstanding musician, but he is a superb teacher as well. He taught my two sons for a period of approximately 3 years, and thanks in large part to his excellent approach, both of my kids were accepted to University of North Carolina School of the Arts, and collectively made over $1000 in gigs playing together using the skills that next taught them. The guy knows what he is doing. Contact this fellow immediately!
