Hello, I'm Christina, I have been teaching swimming for 16 years, when I get in the water, I'm in my element. I enjoy engaging children in learning through play. I provide my students a safe environment, in which they are encouraged to challenge themselves exploring their abilities in the water. Constant positive reinforcement, and a guided discovery method of teaching allows me to empower swimmers. Fun and games foster a life long love of the water and help participants cognize swim skills. Actively proficient in all strokes, I have a knowledge of a variety of drills to strengthen technique and build endurance and confidence, of all ages and experience levels of swimmers that I coach. I get excited to learn and teach. I thrive off of the energy my students bring to class. Sparking curiosity in my swimmers, inviting them to become active participants in their learning, and helping students be intuitive in their bodies; makes for the most rewarding collaborations. The challenge of honing my craft to better serve each of my swimmers stimulates me mentally. Partaking in the satisfaction my students feel from discovering and celebrating their strengths and abilities in the water fuels our lessons and makes things fun! Joy is unavoidable when students swim with big smiles on their faces.
