FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Pricing varies based on group size, format, and what we’re providing. Your quote may include a professional hosting fee plus wine, spirits, food pairings, or tasting materials, depending on the experience. I’ll give you clear pricing upfront and can customize the event to fit your group, occasion, and budget. Corporate and branded-event options are available too.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I like to keep the process easy. Once you reach out, I’ll learn a little about your event, your group size, and the kind of tasting you have in mind. From there, I’ll recommend the best format and send you a clear quote. Once you’re ready to move forward, I’ll send a simple agreement and invoice to confirm the date. Then I’ll handle the planning details with you, including wine or spirit selections, tasting materials, and any custom elements we’ve discussed. Most events are customized, but the process is designed to be straightforward from inquiry to event day.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I’m a Certified Sommelier through the Court of Master Sommeliers and have 20 years of experience in hospitality, including beverage roles at some of New York City’s top restaurants. Just as important, I’ve spent years traveling to wine regions, meeting winemakers, visiting vineyards, and learning how wine connects to food, place, and culture. That perspective shapes the way I teach: less memorization, more great stories, useful takeaways, and the kind of wine knowledge you’ll actually want to bring to your next dinner party. My style is warm, relaxed, and enthusiastic rather than formal or lecture-driven.
