FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My pricing as a Virtual CPA is extremely competitive in the current marketplace. Regardless of the fee or the size of the client, the client should expect the same level of attention to the scope of his engagement. Depending upon the scope and complexity of the project, fees are negotiable and reflect a reasonable upward or downward trend. Fees for simple 1040 tax return preparation are in many cases lower than using a big box firm and there is more customer service detail. I prefer creating a long term client relationship than a one and done approach.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
With all new customers I usually have a 15 minute (no cost) initial consult to understand the levels and complexity of their business. I do this by taking an initial intake assessment based upon the scope of the engagement the client is looking for. I usually like to have a video Zoom call set up so that we create a professional relationship which is based upon trust. It is important that my client feel comfortable with engaging me and that I am the right fit for their engagement.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am a CPA licensed in the State of New York with over 30 years experience in tax, financial planning and business development. I am a member in good standing of the NYS Society of CPA's (NYSSCPA), as well as the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, (AICPA). I hold a registered Paid Tax Preparer's ID number (PTIN) as well as an Electronic Filing ID number (EFIN) with the IRS. In addition I have a Centralized Authorization File number (CAF), which allows me to represent a client as a third party with the IRS to resolve any disputes or issues. I am also a registered IRS Volunteer Income Tax Counselor through the IRS VITA program which assists low and retired income people with free tax preparation which requires an annual test for certification.
