Elle is a great editor with a great attitude! She’s edited many of my projects, ranging from short films to music videos. She has great instincts, takes notes very well, and really improves the quality of what she edits! She always finds a way to give me what I envisioned while putting her own creative touch that elevates the final video! Would highly recommend!

I worked with Elle last October on a relatively large project and we had way more raw footage than we knew what to do with. Elle managed to turn it into a fully fleshed out, compelling, and well paced film. She was very responsive and was able to iterate quickly on our notes/feedback. She often added her own creative twists to our requests that both surprised and impressed us. I’ve worked with many editors in the past, and I can say with certainty that Elle is a true talent.

When I decided to make a video for the song"Revival", from my latest album, I entrusted a director/producer I'd worked with before. He in turn entrusted a small crew I had not previously worked with: I'm very glad he did. Elle Nava - as editor - was a principal part of this crew. Her keen eye was an ideal complement to the striking, idiomatic photography. She clearly took time to understand the song, and had the ability to use the best material effectively, while building on the director's narrative vision. Her use of special effects was discriminating and tasteful, but impactful. She maintained a compelling rhythm throughout - critical in a music video - and worked in some stunning transitions. But what may have impressed me the most was her ability to help tell the overall story. I hope to have the opportunity to work with her again. What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
No flat fees, I charge by the hour.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
After receiving a brief, I like to hop on the phone with the customer to establish what story we're telling and to ask any additional questions I might have. From that conversation I will produce a rough cut, and after a second, third, or forth round of notes I will deliver the polished video to you.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a BS from Boston University in film and television, and I completed a 6 week intensive program at Manhattan Edit Workshop.
