- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I start with a very casual conversation where I allow the client to discuss their goals and ideas for the type of website they envision. Then I center that discussion around achievable tasks. After I have all the information I need, I write up a software development plan which outlines those tasks. I then create a wireframe (which is how users will interact through the site from page to page) and begin designing. I normally have 2-3 design layouts which I show to the client for approval. Once I get an 'OK' I start developing the site.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
I have worked with individual business owners (artists, photographers, musicians), and larger big data companies.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
My number one advice is to choose someone who you feel comfortable and can communicate with. It all comes down to communication.
