I did a 90-minute yoga class with Djenab and loved it! It was perfect for me (a beginner) and my partner (a bit more advanced), as Djenab walked everyone through the various flows and then let you work at your own pace. I felt great after -- the right mix of feeling tired like I got a workout but also feeling lighter and looser from the poses :)Feb 4, 2021

Djenab’s vinyasa flow and yin yoga class was so wonderful. What I loved most was that she gave us some challenging flows but let us go at our own pace and also had us do them for longer periods of time — I was able to really dig into the flow and feel my body becoming more accustomed to it with time, and I didn’t feel rushed into the next position or series. Her calm energy was also exactly what I needed!Feb 4, 2021

Djenab is a thoughtful, gentle and engaging teacher. Doing yoga with her feels specialized and intimate, because I know she's going to spend time helping me correct my posture, find poses that work with my injuries, and lean into difficult stretches that will help my body heal in the long run. Her classes are a perfect mix of calming and also fun, and I feel grateful for her practice!Feb 5, 2021

I've taken two yoga classes with Djenab now, and both were excellent! I'm definitely a beginner when it comes to yoga, but Djenab really takes the time to walk you through each of the movements and emphasizes just doing what feels right for your body and not comparing yourself to others. I love that she teaches more active vinyasa flows (my heart was really pumping!) as well as more relaxed yin postures. She also is just a lovely person with a very calming voice! I would definitely check her out if you're interested in exploring yoga for the first time or enhancing your existing yoga practice.Jan 30, 2021

I've never tried a Zoom yoga class before, but Djenab made me feel comfortable and in-the-zone right away. I'll definitely be taking more classes in the future!Jan 8, 2021
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer? We can set up a brief consultation via Zoom to talk through goals and expectations, and then from there choose an initial meeting time. Scheduling ahead of time is important for me to plan and to make sure that you commit to showing up. During each session, I will ask you how you feel, so that we can tailor in real time.
- What types of customers have you worked with?I have worked with beginners in their 20s and beginners in their 70s, as well as people in intermediate and more advanced stages of their yoga practice. I believe there is always room for growth in yoga and meditation, because it is about the journey, not the destination. My practices aim to challenge in a supportive environment, so that you get better at listening to your body over time.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?It will take more than one session. Each practice is different, and it is a give-and-take. I need to know how you feel, so that I can adjust as need be to help reach your goals, be it to increase stamina, cardio, flexibility, or mindfulness.
