FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My lessons are $75 per 60-minute session. Each lesson is fully personalized to the student’s goals and level. We focus on building strong fundamentals, beautiful tone, and confident musicianship through clear, structured guidance. I specialize in working with adult beginners, returning players, and serious students who want focused progress and supportive instruction. Lessons are taught online via video, which allows students from anywhere to study with a conservatory-trained professional cellist. I currently have a limited number of lesson openings available.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We usually start with a short conversation about goals, experience level, and availability. From there, we schedule an initial lesson to see if it’s a good fit. During the first lesson, I assess fundamentals, tone, and technique, and we create a simple, realistic plan for moving forward. My goal is to make students feel comfortable, encouraged, and excited about playing.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I hold a Master’s Degree from the Peabody Conservatory of Johns Hopkins University, where I studied with Alan Stepansky, former Principal Cellist of the New York Philharmonic. I also hold a Bachelor’s Degree and Performance Certificate from the State University of New York at Fredonia, where I studied with Dr. Natasha Farny. I have over 10 years of professional performance and private teaching experience in both classical and electric cello.
