We had him install a ground wire, when we bought the house it was cut. We didn't feel the need to shop around. He was a straight shooter, we could tell he knew the code. We ended up going with another electrician for the rest of the project because they were closer to our budget and recommended from our kitchen renovator contractor

I had an old dishwasher that was not pumping out water. Doug effectively determined what was wrong and gave me a quote. I paid up front for my service. He returned with the part in a timely fashion but when installing it, broke something else. He advised me that it was too much work and too expensive to remove the appliance and fix that part on an old machine. Having paid up front and now having to buy a new appliance I was in a quandry. What about the money I already invested with him? I offered to trade some of those dollars on the repair of a light fixture at my office. Upon inspection, he was unable to repair that. I felt it was fair to split the money I paid him. He did not. In the end, I received a $63 refund on my $226 investment. I felt it wasn't a fair resolution considering he left me with a broken machine. He felt he had made 2 service calls. I don't expect people to work for nothing. However, I also expect that if you have broken something and can't fix it, it's only fair to bear more of the burden than he did. We will have to agree to disagree and lesson learned for me.

Doug was awesome! He was there when he said he would be and the job was completed when he said it would. Would absolutely work with him again. His prices were fair and reasonable. He did the work that was needed and didn't try to upsell me on anything like some other electricians did.
