Matt's Lawncare Services was great! I hired them after I let my grass go too long (all spring...). It looked like a jungle, and my old-fashioned reel mower was not going to cut it. Matt fit me into his schedule within a few days of my request, and made quick work of the lawn. It looks great! Matt was personable and professional. I will definitely call Matt again if I get into another grass cutting bind.

VERY GOOD,VERY FRIENDLY AND ON TIME. THE ONLY REASON HE DOESN'T GET 5 STARS IS BECAUSE THE CUT GRASS IS NOT REMOVED,HIS BUSINESS NEEDS A LAWN MOWER WITH A BAG THAT COLLECTS THE GRASS AS IT CUT. OTHER THAN THAT VERY SATISFIED,

Ben helped with me a very bad hydro seeding job I had done when we moved into our house. He always answered when I called, quick to set up an appointment, priced very fair and does awesome work! My grass used to be mud but now it looks like Ralph Wilson stadium!

My back yard was a forest. I was very intimidated to even start trying to tame that monster of grass. This company came out, tackled that lawn, and made it no longer embarrassing to show. I really recommend their services to anyone who is looking for great lawn care. Even the grass that has gotten out of control.

Because of all the rain we've had, my grass was very tall...8-10" I would estimate. Chris came in cut it all, trimmed everything and didn't leave piles and clusters of grass behind at all. He was right in time with the time he had given me. I'm very, very impressed with his attitude and work ethic, too. Hopefully I'll be seeing him next year!

The work: add topsoil and grade along side of new fence, seed, and remove two clothes line poles. Brian came out and provided a fair quote for the work. On the day of, he showed up promptly when he said and was also done when he said he would be. Overall he did a very thorough job and had all of the tools to do a quality job (jack for the poles, roller for the topsoil, seed spreader for the grass seed, etc.). He even used the remaining top soil to fill a few low spots in the yard. We were very pleased with everything!

This was my 1st experience with Thumbtack. I needed a contractor to replace 2 squares (blocks) of concrete in my front sidewalk. Since this is a very small job, most cement contractors do not want the job. T.C Powerwash was the only one who responded, and the job exceeded my expectations. Tyler gave an over the phone estimate, then followed up with a visit. Since I needed a load of gravel the estimate was a bit higher, but still $100 less than I was quoted a year ago by a contractor who never showed up. I was called several times to inform me when work would begin, and the weather did not cooperate. One day the old blocks were out, wooden frame in. A few days later (after a period of rain) concrete was poured. The next day after the concrete set, the frame was removed. This is the best part, the grass that was removed in plugs was replaced, extra top soil was added to fill in any cracks, and he added some grass seed. No one finishes with landscaping after concrete work. Job well done. I am satisfied & highly reccomend.

When I needed someone to cut my grass Tidy Lawn Landscaping responded immediately to my email on Thumbtack. They were at my home within 20 minutes I was given an estimate that was very reasonable due to my yard being way overgrown. My grass was cut, trimmed and edged that same day. I would recommend Tidy Lawn Landscaping.

After having surgery, I found it necessary to hire someone to cut my grass. I am glad I utilized the Thumbtack app; I recv'd a quick resp. from Mack Prop Pros. They provided a reasonable quote & began services promptly. They are a family owned business: professional & quality work. I hired them to do a spring clean up as well & very pleased!

7 bushes were removed from front of our house and some new bushes and flowers were planted that will deter the deer from eating them. Also got new dirt, mulch and weed killer. Sculpted the front of bed. Nick was fantastic! He explained everything in detail what he was going to do. He also gave us a surprise and planted some beautiful flowers for us that we didn't know about at no cost. We were very satisfied with Nick and his crew and now we want him to do some landscaping in our backyard. I wouldn't hesitate hiring him again.

    Q & A

Answers to commonly asked questions from the experts on Thumbtack.

How much does it cost to have your lawn mowed?

Regular lawn maintenance can do wonders for your home’s curb appeal. Professional lawn care prices will vary based on the regional cost to do business and regional cost of labor, the size of your lawn, and any additional services you may desire such as edging or mulching. The national average for lawn mowing costs is $30-$50. Pros may charge an hourly rate, a flat rate or by the square foot (an acre contains 43,560 square feet). Square footage rates factor in the professional’s time, the use of their equipment, and the gas to operate the mower. Distance may also affect cost: If you live outside the company’s standard service range, you may pay an additional travel fee. Here are some examples of average prices for mowing and lawn maintenance:

    • Up to 8,000-square-foot property: $30 per week/$120 per month.
      • Bimonthly: $40 per service/$80 per month.
      • One time only: $45 per service.
        • Prices include mowing all turf grass areas; trimming grass away from fences, structures, trees, and lawn edges; and clearing or blowing all grass trimmings from driveways, sidewalks, curbs, etc.
    • Hourly rate: $25 per hour (including travel, equipment costs and labor).
    • Lot size:
      • Smaller lots in subdivisions: $35.
      • Half-acre lot: $50.
      • One-acre lot: $100.
